Which Fab 5 Meal?

Classic character meals are a must for my girls, especially Minnie! Which would you choose?

• Chef Mickey breakfast - we're staying at CR the first 5 nights, so we'd do this on our first full morning before heading to MK. We've done CM before and it was my girls' favorite meal and the breakfast food was fine.
• Minnie's lunch or dinner at H&V with the Fantasmic package - never done this one. I'm a bit scared of H&V, but as long as it's not worse than CM, I'm sure we'll be fine. We do have a gluten allergy in our party if that matters, but all seem to be great at accommodating.
  • We plan to do HS EMM this same day, so we'll get breakfast included. Not sure what time to plan this one. We don't plan for HS to be a full day, so we'd have to come back for Fantasmic. Maybe leave at lunch and come back for dinner/Fantasmic? This is also our resort switch day (to YC). Or we could do this on our non EMM day, which is currently our last and "open" park day.

Of note, we are also doing Cape May breakfast, GG ppo breakfast and CRT dinner for characters.

If we keep Chef Mickey, then we need to drop Ohana or 1900 PF dinners. Due to our split stay and DDP and how the ADRs fall, we'll be over credits. I'm okay dropping one of these, but not sure which!

Thanks for the feedback! Did you have lunch/dinner at H&V? We found breakfast at CM a bit chaotic and standard fare, but we weren't disappointed and my kids loved the characters.

When DD was younger we always did Chef Mickeys but the food has gone down hill.
This year we are trying H&V for lunch (always did a PPO bkfst in the past) as well as Cape May Cafe for bkfst.

Ditto to all above. H&V is much better than CM. Larger venue, more food options, different vibe.

Is the lunch and dinner buffet the same?

Any thoughts on if we're at HS for EEM (so very early morning and breakfast around 9:30ish), if we do H&V for lunch before heading to settle in at our new resort and returning for Fantasmic only, or skipping lunch and coming back for an early-ish dinner and Fantasmic? Or is it better to just make that a resort/pool afternoon and return to HS H&V and Fantasmic on our last day/would close out our vacation?

Daisy is swapped out for Pluto at H&V, right? Daisy is preferable for my girls, although Pluto is third in line after Minnie & Daisy, but we'll see him at GG. If that's not right, though, who is typically with Minnie at H&V?
