Spice Road? Rose & Crown?

I’m primarily looking for the best *view* of the 4th of July show. The food is secondary. (I’d prefer Spice Road but some of my family would probably say Rose & Crown, but either way we’re ok with both menus.)

Which would you choose?

Here are a few videos. Now that the barges are gone, I believe spice road table might have the better/clearer view for Epcot Forever/4th July but there are very few tables up against the windows vs Rose & Crown where you can get up and go to the rails.

Do take a look at the menu for Spice Road table as it can be challenging for a picky eater.

Hmmmm… thank you for this. But I still can’t decide. Lol. More direct view or the ability to go to the rails…

I’m short. So ideally a place where I can stay seated and still see most of the show. Would that be Spice Road?

Whenever a crowd stands to view, I’m completely blocked. Definitely a downside of being petite.

My family is fine with the Mediterranean food, so that’s not an issue.

Wwyd?

You can stay in your seat at Rose & Crown. Maybe ask for an outdoor seating (some tables are at an elevation)

We actually had a great view from the benches near baernmrkt booth (just be there 30 mins ahead). Kids grabbed some strudels (Epcot flower and garden ends July 5)

I thought about it. I know Epcot has more great “free” viewing sites than MK. But since it’s July 4th I think I want to pay for the convenience of knowing we can get a good viewing spot without staking it out too early or getting upset when the last minute people try to squeeze in and push us over.

If they are still doing Epcot Forever, it won't matter. They are true fireworks, meaning it is all in the sky. They do have some lasers that shoot across but frankly they are just streaks in the sky and with the smoke from the FWs pretty much not there. With Harmonious it was important to get a good angle on the floats but Epcot Forever doesn't have that. Heck, you could be sitting on a bench far back and still see everything. I was there last week and staked out a spot next to the America Stage since that was a good spot for Harmonious but it really wasn't necessary. The only special part about that spot was it framed the MK FWs that were happening at the same time perfect in the background so I got a two for one. Just look up and you are going to see them. They aren't even doing the kites they did last time for Epcot Forever, it is just a good old fashioned fireworks in the sky with music show.

Thanks! It sounds like there will be lots of good viewing spots all over the park.

My daughter is autistic and gets sensory overload… and my husband can get claustrophobic in crowds. So a dining party I’m hoping will allow them both to enjoy the show without a crush of bodies around them.

If sensory overload is a concern I would go for Spice Road table so you can be seated indoors.

We really enjoyed the Rose and Crown package - you are not under a roof, so, IMHO, the views will be better. If you can find availability, you may want to consider the pontoon fireworks cruise that leaves from YC. It's not cheap and they book fast, but you would have a private boat with snacks and drinks, zero crowds, seats and an unobstructed view.

We will be walking to and from Epcot to The Swan.
The world showcase will be down to a crawl post fireworks (we had a double stroller). I would use restrooms before exiting. The Skyliner line was quoted as 45 mins but took 30; I would prepare for the crowds exiting esp 4th July.

I read about the cruise as well. I’m not sure if it’s worth the cost.

We did the Rose & Crown package for July 4th last summer and it was one of our favorite things we’ve ever done at WDW. It was a much better value than the MK dessert parties. Our table was right by the railing and the view was great. Our kids could get out of their seats and stand right by the railing and we didn’t have to worry about anyone crowding us or being in front of us. There was no rush to leave right away, so we took our time and avoided the crowds. It was hard to book though, since there are so few tables for the package.

I booked it today!

I have done Rose & Crown multiple times in last couple years and NO one is standing at the rails. You stay seated at your table. ALL tables have a view. No one is allowed on the patios unless they paid for the package (and table). My DS is disabled, doesn't do crowds well and this has been perfect for him.

I wouldn't book Spice Road since I'm not guaranteed a table at "the rail". And I'm not sure the non package folks are separated from the package folks.
