Which DVC Resort should I stay at?

Hi everybody!
My family and I are DVC members, and my fiance and I are getting married in Disney next year. We are trying to pick out which DVC Resort to stay at for our wedding planning session, it isn't going to be until July but my family needs to book at either 7 months or 11 months (which is already past!) depending on where we stay. There will be 4 adults- my fiance and I, and my parents and we will be staying in a Studio for 4 days. Our 3 choices are Bay Lake-which is our home resort, the Beach Club Villas, or Old Key West. The reasons we are considering these 3 are: Bay Lake is our home resort and favorite, but my family will be staying here again for the wedding 6 months later although Chris and I wont be, so they thought it would be nice to stay somewhere else. It will also be convenient access to the GF where the planning session is held- via the monorail, and it has a great pool which would be nice for July. My Dad suggested the Beach Club because it is close to the Epcot area and also has a really nice pool. And Key West because it is the only DVC property that has 2 Queen beds in a Studio (all the rest have 1 Queen and a pull-out sofa) which would be nice having 4 adults, and it is undergoing a total renovation right now, which will be finished in the spring before we are there so we would have a brand new room. It is also the lowest point value of the 3. So with all that taken into consideration, which resort would you stay at?
Thanks for your help!

since you are staying at BLT for your wedding would go with neither BCV or OKW.

probably BCV that pool is wonderfully - especially if you are going in the summer.

With 4 adults, I'd probably go with OKW for the 2 queen beds and larger room. DH and I just stayed in a studio at BWV and I was glad it was only the 2 of us. We've stayed in a 2 bdrm twice at OKW, and I was amazed at the size of the second bedroom - bigger bathroom as well. Have fun planning your wedding.:goodvibes

First of all... I would NEVER stay in ANY studio with 2 couples. Given that....If I absolutely had to, I'd choose OKW over anything else because of having two REAL queen sized beds so one couple doesn't have to sleep on a double sized pull out.

If you can swing it, I'd do as a minimum a 1 bedroom anywhere so each couple would have a bit of privacy and maybe even a seperate bathroom if you do BLT or AKV.

Definately OKW....2 queens...bigger room
See if you can get a room in the HH area....close to main pool and Olivia's.
Happy planning

I agree with this!

We'd love to but cant get a bigger room this time, because we are saving points to get a 2 bedroom at Bay Lake for a week for the wedding, and my Dad is also giving us points for Aulani in Hawaii for our honeymoon.

So it sounds like its between BCV and OKW...location vs space?

Add me to the OKW group for 4 adults. Plus, you may not be able to get BCV at the 7-month window for July.

Another vote for OKW, but for different reasons - if the purpose is to plan a wedding, you really don't need the distraction of SAB or Epcot right out the door. You'll find OKW's laid backness preferable fo your purpose.

:goodvibesOk...if you're happy with a studio, then I too would pick OKW! That's a very nice wedding gift that you're getting!:goodvibes

I vote for OKW too. It's my favorite resort, it just has that at home feeling.

Count me in for OKW. The extra space for the 4 of you makes it the winner.

You already know all the pros and cons of each of your choices. But I guess it still helps to hear other people's opinion.

I own OKW and stay there frequently. Just like the bigger rooms and the relaxed atmosphere. For all that, you actually pay less!

For your situation, I would agree with most. OKW sounds like may be your best choice. For 4 adults to stay in a studio, having 2 queen beds would be more comfortable. Save BLT for the wedding. BCV the pool is nice. My young son loves it. And the proximity to Epcot is convenient. But I would save that for another trip as well.
