I am considering renting points for an upcoming trip. I am trying to decide between BWV and VWL. I am pretty sure I would like to rent a 2bdrm(myself, 11yo dd, 5yo dd and my mom). Does anyone have any pro's and con's they could outline for me. I would consider a 1 bedroom but there didn't seem to be much difference in the points(Sun thr Thurs stay). I would appreciate any help I can get with this since I want to get things going.

According to their policy you can only have 4 people and one child under the age of 3 in a studio or 1 BR. You can have 8 + 1 in a 2 BR. I think you would have a lot more privacy in the 2 BR also.

WDWNutz, his/her mother and 2 children = 4 A studio or one-bedroom is fine. A 2 bedroom would give the benefit of two bathrooms and additonal beds (a king bed, a queen bed and 2 sleeper sofas (some units do have 2 queen beds and a sleep sofa instead) vs. a queen bed and a sleep sofa

The choice between the BWV and VWL boils down to personal taste. Which resort appeals to you more? Do you like the idea of being "in the woods"? Many people really just love that cozy feel. Or, does the go-go action of the Boardwalk seem more your style?

Also, at which park will you spend more time? This could figure in as well. Of course, you can visit all the parks from either resort but if you think you'll be mostly at MK, VWL is closer and offers you water access. If you think Epcot and MGM will have a lot of your attention, then you have the easy access from BWV.

In my opinon, you can't go wrong with any of the DVC resorts!

You'll love the 2 bdrm with that assortment of people - VERY comfortable. Anyway, probably your decision is what park do you want to be closest to? If you want to be easy and close to MK, then VWL is the answer. If you like the idea of just walking in to Epcot or MGM, then go with the BWV.

By the way, when are you going? That may have some bearing on what resort. If it's this year, I've noticed on these boards that the DVC properties are filling up for many, many dates. You might have to choose based on what's available if your dates are firm and it's a busy time. Usually with flexibility, though, you can get something figured out.

as had been said - go with the one closest to the park that you want to spend the majority of your time at - but remember that BCV has also opened (same points at a preferred view at BWV) and it has SAB (storm along bay) - the pool.

don't try to rent standard view points at BWV - unless you are very lucky - members generally get them as soon as they can - so do your cost on the preferred view.
