Which dvc property would be best for us?

We are looking to rent points at a DVC property for the first time sept 2015. We are two adults and one turning 8 that week. Our last trip we stayed at the Dolphin and my DH loves having a king bed and a pull-out for our son ( or rollaway whatever they have) we loved the location but not able to do dining plan and I thought maybe we can stay somewhere a little nicer ( although was happy with dolphin so I'll price check it as I would go back again) so I'm wondering if beach club or boardwalk would make sense but the studio is too small with queen bed ( almost
Looked full to me in a video I saw) it seems like there are better deals at AKL or OKW but I'm thinking location is not as good as boardwalk area? Have people had a week in a one bedroom at beach club or boardwalk that may cost less than the dolphin?

You need to check the point charts for the dates of your stay. Worse case is $14 per point to rent a reservation.

Compare that to the prices for other accommodations.
