I have LOTS of homework to get caught up on because I am SOOOO behind.:sad2: So this weekend is going to filled with long days and nights and I need to stay awake and be alert. So my question is what drink (non alcholic of course) keeps you awake the longest and works the best for you? I drink coffee already but sometimes that doesn't work for me. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated because I really need to stay awake so I can get it done this weekend because during the week I work full time teaching:teacher: and am currently taking 16 credits:scared: this quarter during the night. Thank you for taking the time to respond!!!:)

One of the red-bull style energy drinks, or strong black coffee, probably. You'd actually be better off napping for about 90 minutes though...

No caffeine, but water helps ward off fatigue. Also, caffeine will dehydrate you so be sure to balance your caff. in-take with water. With all you're going to be drinking, the trips to the potty will help keep you awake as well!:thumbsup2
Good luck!

I usually just go to Starbucks and get my latte of choice and add a few extra shots of espresso to it. It makes the drinks pretty strong though, I have to get it with whole milk rather than my usual skim. (Oh, and they do charge you for each one.)

Dh is in a similar position as you with work and school- when he pulls all nighters, he just loads up on energy drinks. He's not a coffee drinker. He mostly gets Red Bull or Mountain Dew Amp'd.

Head to 7-11 pass right by the coffee bar and over to the suppliments. They've got a product called "UPtime" It's got a bit of caffeine but mostly it's a blend of Vitamins, minerals, ginseng, and most importantly Ginkgo for mental clarity. It's great, costs about $1 and works fantastic.

I love any of the energy drinks liked Boo-koo and Omega. Red Bull is good too. Drink it slowly - and you won't need that entire can if it's big. Those energy drinks don't make you jumpy or energetic, just clear-headed and awake.

Mountain Dew will do it for me:thumbsup2 Found out about it in college - worked at Pizza Hut from 5-10pm, would take home a small pizza and mountain dew. Ready to go to sleep, but didn't get tired until after 5am:confused3 Roommate says - "well sure, you drank all of that Mountain Dew". Who knew?

This is so true. Alternate your caffeine drinks with either water or gatorade. I got so sick one morning after an all-nighter in college. I was so sick I couldn't go to the class that had the project due so I had to go to the health center to get excused. The nurse gave me a stern lecture about drinking too much caffeine and dehydrating myself. I don't think I have ever felt so sick in my life.

Happened to me too in college! Never knew you could get a caffeine hang over!!

I drink Monster energy drinks. They work soooo well. I have them a lot in the mornings because of the late nights I pull for school and then I have to get up at 4:30 to get there!
