Which double stroller for Disney?

We have a sit and stand, but I think for Disney, a "normal" double stroller would be better. My oldest has never been one to sleep while we're out, but then again, he's never been somewhere like WDW. We'll be there for a week in mid-December. My ds will be 3 years and 3 months, and if he follows his curve, about 39 lbs. My dd will be 23 months and around 21 lbs. Which would you get/recommend? Thanks!

I'd go for renting the Disney stroller. With a 39 lb. er I think it would be easier to push.

Maclaren Twin Traveler -- as DD said, it's "so much more comfy" thatn the Rally Twin.

I'd rent a stroller. You don't have to worry about folding it and carrying it on the train while at MK, although you don't get to take it on the monorail when they fall asleep. You can, however, transfer your rental during the day if you change parks. Definitely go for something lightweight if you're brining one along.

The seats have more depth and are a little wider than the Rally. Higher weight limit and easy to push around.
Our DS4 is too big for the traveller but when DS1 1/2 was born it was the only double stroller I was considering because I thought it would last the longest. The Rally seat were smaller than the traveller which is tough for the bigger kids.

Thanks, I check out the Traveller too. I'm not crazy about renting. It feels like throwing away money to me, and I can't imagine those plastic ones being comfy, esp for my little one. She's a tiny thing. (14 months and still wearing 3-6 month clothes.)

I wouldn't rent for a week... that's over $100. No matter what you choose, save the box and if you don't want it, you can sell it on eBay after you come home... you'll spend less than $100 for sure.

I had a PP Aria Twin, and it is not fun to push, even worse when you have an unbalanced load. I had a Mac TT, I really liked it, excellent steering... not too roomy in the seat.

Recently, I bought a Safety 1st Transit Tandem, which is an umbrella stroller-style tandem. I did a review on it, in this forum, if you are interested. I think it's up to 40 pounds, and I can say that the seat room is generous.

I would rent the double stroller from Disney. We were just there last month and used it for our 4 1/2 year old (37 lbs) and 23 mo. (22 lbs). It was so easy to push and very easy for the kids to get in and out of.

We used the PP Aria Twin for our girls in December. It is a bit hard to maneuver, especially on uneven surfaces. However, we had no problems bringing it anywhere, including on the buses, train, monorail because it folds up so flat and is so light.

I just bought the Jeep Kolcraft twin umbrella strolelr -- it cost as much as renting one when we are there and I can use it during the summer for zoos and such. I've only tested it out once so far. Seems to be okay to push, but I need to get used to the width (as compared to a single stroller).

This past trip we took a jeep SBS umbrella type stroller. It is relatively light and easy to fold and carry. I used to be a firm believer in renting, however, with two children, I had no desire to try to carry any tired children back to the room after a long day in the parks. It was nice to unfold the stroller after the bus ride and let the kids ride back to the room. BTW, at the time I had DS 4 yo and about 40 lbs and DD almost 2 and about 25 lbs they did fine. Oh yeah, the jeep was only about $70

I love our Mountain Buggy Urban Double. It is side by side, not tandem, and pushes like a dream. This is our 3rd double, and last. Told DH is was a MUST before last WDW trip, pushing the old Graco at the mall was a work out. Kids seem to like it. You can also get a rain cover they sell that has a flap in the front that you roll up and velcro so the kids do not roast or fog up. Really nice that the kids still had air flowing in there but stayed dry.

Chicco Velocita Twin Umbrella is what we purchased last year, just for our Disney trip (Rental would have cost more than the $119 we spent on this stroller!). Many people mistakenly thought we had a Mac, as they did not recognise the fabric pattern as being Mac style...One lady actually stopped us and had quite a chat about this... Very convenient and easy to fold...Kids were 3 1/2 and 20 months and seemed quite comfy...Seats fully reclined independently and it came with a rain cover...Good luck shopping !

(P.S. I read somewhere that stroller rental prices recently went up some...Should you choose to rent, though, you may want to purchase a multiple day rental up front...It will save you a little bit of $ and you don't have to wait to pay every day...)

UNless you and your spouse are short, skip the combi. It also have no storage space.

Has anyone taken a tandem double to the parks? I think I'll have to take our evenflo tandem because the new baby will be only about two months old. Just wanted to know how much trouble it's going to be . I love my SBS but it won't work this time. I also have to figure out how to accomodate 3 kiddies this time, I'm scared just thinking about it

My SIL/BIL took a Graco tandem and it was just fine. They did just as well with the tandem as our SBS. Have you checked out the Kiddie Board by Lascal ? I think if #3 comes, the oldest will be put on one of those.
