Since I now have my scrapbook area set up nicely at home. I found that when I went out cropping this weekend. I dreaded packing things up then unpacking again. And, I seem to get so much more when I just sit and crop on my own than when I go to a crop.

Don't get me wrong I love seeing the other croppers and socializing but, I'm much more productive and don't spend $$ when I crop at home.

Just wondering what others prefer?

Since I don't have a scrapping area I love to crop out side! I also love to yack so it really fits my personality! But I so wish I had an area I could leave my stuff out. I know when I do leave it out on my dining room table I will do a page here and there! So I want both worlds!

I'm right with you with wanting both worlds. I would love to have the space at home, but I know I wouldn't get as much done and I like going out with my friends to the LSS better. We go out to lunch then crop for 3 or 4 hours, its a nice outing. That what I plan on doing on Mon or Tues...............:)

Well, I don't have a scrap room or anything, but I like both. I have so much stuff that I dread and often call to cancel my spot at crops because I don't end up getting all my stuff together. BUT at the same time I love crops because I really like the girls I scrap with and have a great time each time I go.

I'm going to one this Friday (if I can get my stuff packed in time! ;) ) and then a "Super Saturday" crop the following Saturday. I went last month and it was AWESOME!! It's from 9 am to midnight ($30). They feed you muffins, donuts and juice for breakfast, a Subway lunch and we had lasagne for dinner. We have snacks out (chocolate) the whole time and soda, of course. They also have give aways and contests. They gave us an awesome little plastic box that had little sections where I've been stashing my MM stuff... well, until I got too much to store in there!! ;)

So I can't choose one or the other! ;)

and I have everthing laid out for scrapbooking there. I find I perfer being at home and get far more done.

To really get things accomplished I crop at home. I have an entire room with everything just so and it's a ton of stuff and takes me hours to get it ALL packed up. That being said, I love going to my church's monthly crops. I have found that instead of taking tons of things I take a few pieces (usually some paper piecings or titles or something) and work on those. Our monthly crops are as much fellowship and fun as they are scrapbooking. I like to gather ideas from others and just enjoy the evening. I usually go to one or two all weekend crops a year and for those I do just plan ahead and take WAY too much of my stuff, but it sure is fun.

I like both. I can get a lot done at a crop and my secret is not to go with friends. I know that sounds odd but if I want to get a lot done that's what I do. I also like cropping at my LSS because they have all the paper there. I don't have a huge collection of stuff yet. I have an area at home to crop at too. It is really nice not to have to pack up all my stuff when I am working on a layout.

I get more done at home. When I go to a crop I end up talking to much! I like to work on my books on an evening or a sunday afternoon. I just spread out in the family room and go to work. I don't have a scrap room/table. Mine is all in a couple of bags. So if I can't do it for an afternoon/evening, I hate to get it out. I also find I'm more productive in the fall/winter. I haven't done much this summer. To many outdoor projects to be done.
Anyone else have time like that?

I get more done when I crop at home, I have all my supplies handy and can just get to work. I also like to go to crops but more often than not do more talking than scrapping!! Plus it is hard to plan what you "may" need!! I do try to take page kits with me but there is always something I wish I would have had with me!!

I love a crop for getting together with the girls and chit chatting. I always get more done there than at home also. I hate deciding what to take, packing, and unpacking. When I scrap at home, I get bored! I LOVE the company of others. ;)

I definately get more done at a crop. When I am home I usually cannot get started until the kids are in bed and that is around 9. By the time I drag everything out and get started I am tired and want to go to bed myself! I like to go to the LSS to crop because you can use their tools in addition to your own. I usually go with a friend so we do chit chat. Unfortunately I have a lot of catching up to do..Disney on Ice (11/02) and our March 03 trip. Better get on the ball, eh?????

I went to my first crop this past weekend and I had sooo much fun! I thought that it would be difficult to pack everything up and work out of my bag, but when I was there with my friends scrapping away from all the distractions and having my meals/snacks/drinks provided for me. Oh, and using all of their supplies and borrowing from everyone and getting ideas was wonderful, very much worth packing everything up! I could go on and on, they also had prizes and give-aways and make n takes... I'm definately gonna have to go to these more often!

I don't get the chance to scrap much at home, we're in the process of having our basement finished and I'll have a craft area down there, so maybe then I'll be able to have people over to scrap. But with a 17 month old that needs a lot of attention, it's difficult to get stuff done at home.

my vote is a BIG OUTSIDE as I do not have any room to scrap at home. I do much better each sunday going to LSS and using the table time there.

My first "crop" will be my SDU crop in a few weeks on a Sat evening, and then a week later on the 18th I am signed up for a 9am-9pm crop that is having lunch (subs) and dinner (italian buffet) which will be interesting. I have to get some more pictures printed to make sure I don't run out of stuff to do at that crop.

and the die cut center, and the punches and tools and everything are great to be able to use when at LSS.

I've got some you can borrow!!LOL!!
It depends what type of mood I'm in. Sometimes I can get a bunch done at home. But I usually have everything all set to do when I go out so it goes quicker. If I'm at home with everything at hand it takes me forever to try to decide what embellishments and such. If I'm going out I organize it better. Sounds crazy, doesn't it?

I *usually* get more done at a crop, although I do have my own space at home now. Now I am a CMC, so I have crops at my own home! The two I have done so far were a lot of fun, but I personally only got a couple of pages done because I was helping others, demonstating products, etc. But the two Creative Memories crops I went to this year before I signed up were incredibly productive- I loved being able to use other people's products, bounce ideas off one another, be able to buy the perfect sticker if I didn't have it on hand, and get freebies! AND not have my kids want to scrap along with me (which equals Mom getting nothing done! ) Right now I am just about caught up in my book- just photos from the last few weeks, and I am sponsoring a crop this Friday- I hope to get them in my album then!
