Showing WDW to newbies or going with experienced WDW visitors? I have found the two vacations to be very different. popcorn::

either - my favorite trips are solo.

that say it depends upon the guests.

some friends are great and they love WDW as much as I do.

others complain the entire time. Not going back with them.

sometimes with others is great - sometimes wonder why did I invite this person?

Hmmm I like both but usually perfer to go with Vets. It is more casual and laid back.

I like going with newbies because I like showing them all the things they never thought was even possible at wdw but sometimes there is more stress to make the vaca "perfect" if that makes sense.

I should have also asked about the fun of showing the newbies the resorts vs the comfortable return with a vet. :thumbsup2

oooh well yeah that is a good point. I am taking my dh's family next June for a stay at AKV (his parents and sister and brother in law) amd I am very excited to show them AKV. Last year we got married at Disney and my family stayed at the BWV (my whole fam are vets) Dh's family stayed at POR. They liked it but when they saw BW they were blown away, so I am hoping they will enjoy their first DVC stay next year!

Though I never miss an opportunity for a WDW trip, I must say I prefer the experienced WDW traveler. Having done both many times, being a resident of FLorida, it kinda goes w/ the territory, new-comers (some abbrv. make me gag) to Disney often still come w/ pre-conceived notions and ideas. I, over the years have learned the best times and days to go. I know how to work the FP to my advantage. I don't and will never again wait in a 60 minute line, it's really not necessary with EMH. But excited non-experienced Disneyer's push and shove you to make the wrong decisions, and sometimes you just have to go along, especially w/ large groups. Disney is no longer a spontaneous place, to fully enjoy it and keep your sanity, you have to plan, FP, ADR's, etc.

I prefer the experienced Disney traveler, makes for a much more relaxed approach to Disney, my commando days are over!

Much prefer experianced WDW visitors. No more commando touring for us!

Dennis-

I like both but for different reasons. When I have enthusiastic newbies with, I love showing them all around, but I also MUST have some time there with just us after they leave. I will never have newbie guests for the entire trip again.

Bringing experienced WDW travelers is great for a more relaxing trip.
