Hi, I know I'm late into getting abook but I had read on here somewhere (I can;t find the post) of a book that has a journaling section or something to that effect and that it was a great book similar to Birnbaum's. I am traveling with my 2 boys 6 and 3 so I am looking for a book that would be appropriate for traveling with kids. Thanks so much! Chris.

The Unofficial Guide is great, but my favorite is Passporter--if I were to write a WDW guide book that one is designed just the way I would have done it! With places to write and pockets to store things as well as fold out maps and great ,complete sections on all aspects of WDW. Birnbaums just doesn't cut it for me--I guess there just isn't enough in depth information in there. It is great for beginners, but for the experienced it just isn't enough IMHO.

Given the fact that I'm a "Disney Guide Book Junkie", and have 10 different WDW planning books, I can honestly say that I also would recommend The PassPorter. I really like the UnOfficial Guide too, but if I could only have one, it would be The PassPorter.

I wouldn't (and don't) limit myself to just one. I use the Passporter and the Unofficial Guide. The Passporter is easily personalized by using the pockets and worksheets. It has great pre-trip checklists too. The Unofficial Guide has a lot more information and can help you plan in detail.

I got my passporter at Borders. I know you can also order them online.
I love mine also ... but I need to have a few quides.... they are just to fun!!!:earsgirl:

I usually get Birnbaums, but read it cover to cover...then I am left wanting more!

I like Birnbaulms but think of it more of a souvenir book than a guide book. The only book I use lately is the Unofficial Guide and I don't even use that one too much. I've never seen Passporter though. I might have to give it a try.

Thanks so much for the great posts. I am going to head to Barnes and Noble tomorrow after work. Hopefully, I'll have enough time to read some of it before I go! Thanks again, Chris.

If your local bookstore doesn't have PassPorter you can order it from www.passporter.com. I get a new PassPorter every trip - it's great for journaling!

I buy the Unofficial Guide yearly....and have purchased the Passporter the last 3 years. The UG has far more content, tips, facts, etc. It is my favorite. The passporter has organizational features which are nice...but after reading the UG I don't feel like I learned anything new. Go for the Unofficial Guide...if you buy two then pickup a passporter also.

Another vote for UG:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It contains so much info about Disney and other parks, hotels, dinning, shopping and much more:sunny:
