Which Disney hotel would be best for us?

We need two nights stay- but we are not going to Disney at all- we are needing these two nights before our cruise. We'll get there at 12 noon and stay for two nights. My question-- I checked Expedia for rooms at All Stars and they are 89.00/ night. Of course I am seeing these posts for the cheap cheap 39-49 and what have you, but that is at Downtown Disney. Are these nice places?? Is the Courtyard nice there? Or do I want to spend the 89 and get a pretty nice place to enjoy before the cruise? I am undecided. If the cheaper is really a decent room- no brainer, but I know I liked the pool area and just the atmosphere at ASMusic when we stayed there about 6 years ago. I am thinking if we stay at DD then we'll be withing walking of the Marketplace -- or am I wrong on this?

We have stayed at the Hilton . It's the best hotel if you're wanting to go to DD, as they have a nice walking path . The other resorts in that area may be too far to walk. When ever we do the Disney Cruise we always stay in Cocoa Beach at the Radison. We rent an Avis car 'cause it can be dropped off at the Radison.The morning of the cruise either the Avis folks or the Radison's shuttle will take you to the ship. We like to be one of the first one's on the ship so we go about 10:30. That way we can sign up for Palio's, or the spa, and shore excursions early. Folks coming from WDW usually get to the ship later. Have a wonderful cruise .Check out the DIS cruise board if you haven't already.

Also, if you are driving, I believe you can leave your car at the Radison for no charge.

When are you going? There are some code rates for moderates on mousesavers for less than that Allstar rate! You could get POR or POFQ and have the boatride to DTD.
