I have 10+ tourguide books. I would bring them all if I was flying SW, but since I'm paying to check luggage it's a no no (JK). But really I want to bring 1 or 2. I'm leaning towards my Hidden Mickey guide (b/c I'll never remember all those hints) and my Imagineers Guide to the magic.

What books do you bring (if any)?

TIA

WOW that is a lot of books. I think I'd bring my hidden Mickey w/as well. I'm bringing our Passporter as well as our Disability book but I plan on leaving them back at the room ---just want to brush up before we head out for the day.

December is a wonderful time to go to Disney World. There are lots of guidebooks. My kids are 9 and 3 and like Walt Disney World For Kids By Kids. Its a very great book. All the disney guidance are included in this book.

My favorites are Official Guide (Birnbaum) and The Unofficial Guide. But I leave them in the room. I try not to drag books around. I just keep my ADR numbers handy. :thumbsup2

Another BIG vote for the Unofficial Guide, though I don't carry it in the parks - it's too heavy! Fun to read on the ride down, and then each night to brush up on the next day's plan.

Another Unofficial Guide user here. I also leave it in the room, but use it for reference when needed.

Hi,

I use the Unofficial guide.

One comment in the book was that they use the book as a cushion whilst waiting for Illuminations @ Epcot!:)

Last trip I brought my Passporter and used the passpockets each day. I also brought the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World, intending to carry it with me into the parks. However, the July heat and humidity was such that I carried the absolute minimum and that stayed in the room as well.

I vote for the Unofficial Guide. It's too bulky to carry with you, but the information inside is everything you need to know and more.

I just ordered the UG with Kids 2010 to bring with us -- smaller than the regular UG.

We swear by Birnbaum. I buy it even during the years we are not planning a trip! It has everything you need :thumbsup2

I don't bring any guidebooks with me on my trip (I'm an overpacker as it is!). I just use my guidebooks to do research before my trip, then leave them at home. But my favorite guidebook is the Unofficial Guide.

I don't bring guidebooks with my on my trips, but if I wanted one to have on hand I'd go with Mousejunkies. It's my hands down favorite guide.

Unofficial Guide is the best for a general resource but check out the Imagineering Field Guides for something lighter and more fun. They have individual guides for each of the parks. Interesting facts and behind the scenes info. Small and compact and easy to pack and carry.

It very nice. I have also brought Complete Guide to Walt Disney World, which will carry with me in the parks. But in the heat and humidity in July was such that I wore the bare minimum and who have remained in the room.

I like Passporters and Unofficial Guide. They are both good. I take one of them with me in the car to get me in the spirit while riding. DH does ALL the driving!
