I didn't vote as our favorite is not on your list...Boma.

We've done 1900 Park Fare for both breakfast and dinner but thought the food was definitely better at breakfast.

We thought Cape May was a better dinner option than 1900 Park Fare.

I'd say as far as "quality", all buffets are pretty much the same. They're all Disney restaurants, so it really all depends on what you like to eat. I'll have to go with the majority and say that IMO, Boma is the best buffet on property. Unless they're eating Potatoes with Afritude, Chicken Tenders and
Spaghetti & Meatballs in Kenya these days, I wouldn't consider it authentic African by any stretch on the imagination. It's simply African influenced.

lol. I had to laugh at this. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Whoops... changing my answer.

Boma, no question. Second would be Crystal Palace. Neither is is a choice in the poll, though.

In my opinion, the best buffet used to be Akershus, now it's Boma. The food is good, whether it's authentic African or not (which I think mostly not).

I totally agree with you on Boma, it's a wonderful buffet. The whole issue on this thread of "authentic" or not sort of amuses me. I lived several years in Italy and if I decided I could only eat "authentic" Italian food in America, I'd be out of luck 99.9% of the time.

Cuisines don't have to be absolutely authentic to be delicious.

What buffet do you think has the best food quality for dinner? I'm trying to plan a meal for my fiance's family and I?

Crystal Palace is out because I've been there twice and was disappointed in the food as was my fiance on his trip there.

Boma is out because, having spent time in Africa, I find the food there unexciting.

We don't really care about characters or if there are some, who they are.
If you were disappointed with the Crystal Palace and have to eat "exciting" food now that you've been to Africa, you will probably be disappointed with wherever you go. None of the places have very exciting food and most are no better than the Crystal Palace.

I voted 1900 Park Fare, because I think it is the best buffet dinner on property...but it isn't really much better than the Crystal Palace.

I also like Trail's End and Boma a lot. But, again, not "exciting" food in any way.

I voted 1900 Park Fare, it's really good food. Trail's End is a favorite of ours, but you won't get the variety and selection. It's also a different atmosphere.
