Which Deluxe to visit?

We will be in WDW in dec. and since mk, mgm, & epcot close at 7:00 and animal kingdom closes at 5:00, I was thinking about visiting one or two of the deluxe resorts after the parks close.
So what I want to know is, which one of these three are not to be missed and why?

I voted the Poly. Although the GF is my favorite deluxe resort to stay at, you can't beat the Poly for atmosphere. You can plan a dinner at 'Ohana (although we didn't really care for the food, many people love it), the torches are all lit up beautifully at night and it just has a special tropical feel to it. The GF is lovely in the evening too. You can plan a meal at one of the nice sit down restaurants or have dinner at 1900 Park Fare with the characters and sit in the lobby and listen to the music. Both are lovely at night but the Poly would be my choice if I was interested in just strolling the grounds and having a nice meal.

Personally, I think all of these resorts are great to explore. Each is unique and would provide special dining opportunities to boot. That said, I voted for AKL. I just love the atmosphere of that resort, and we were fortunute enough to stay there for a week this past May. I would recommend dinner at either Boma or Jiko, for interesting food and African wines. The grounds are fun to explore. You could take the time to listen to the nightly African story-telling that takes place at the fire pit, and then could watch the animal from the spectacular viewing areas. Aditionally, the resort gift shop is fun to explore and has unique African offerings. If you are visiting sans children, Victoria Falls is a great place for a night cap!

We loved the Poly...and we are looking forward to WL...but we LOVED AKL!! We had a savannah view right off of the lobby. Animals were great, theming was incredible, Boma...oh my!

Strolling through the magnificent lobby of WL and listening to the music is worth the price of a ticket.. Hooray for us its free and the Courtyard is breathtaking.

You could visit both the GF and the Poly - just take the monorail between them! We like to do this! In fact, you could even fit in the Contemporary too!

The WL is very nice to visit too. You could visit the Poly, then hop the boat over to the WL afterwards!

All of the hotels are good but I think GF is a nice place to visit esp. in December with all the decorations. Definetly don't miss the christmas decorations.
