Which deluxe resorts are the most hectic/busy?

Ranked busiest to least:
Poly
BC
CR
AK
BW
WL
We have stayed at all of them and loved most so would not base my decision on how busy it felt. But if it is a priority for you I found WL to be strikingly more peaceful than the others, IMO

Cant say I even noticed how busy the Poly is which now that everyone mentions it yes its pretty busy but it never bothers us its still our go to resort...

I will say the Tambu Lounge is annoying even if you aren't getting a drink

We've stayed at all deluxes except CR and BWI and I've them all to be busy at certain times, with the exception of YC. Poly is the busiest I've noticed, but it wouldn't prevent me from staying there again.

We noticed a considerable difference between BC and YC. I think that may have been part of the reason we didn't necessarily care for the BC that much.

Yacht Club is the quietest unless there is a conference going on. We also found WL to be very relaxing. We really enjoyed spending time in the Territory Lounge in the evenings. We love the Poly and the Beach Club too, but they're noisier.

I don't know one place they are all listed. The largest conference is usually the Gardner Symposium which is usually in October. We actually prefer the Beach Club. Even though it was noisier, it felt more laid back.

Any deluxe with a character meal tends to feel more hectic, but I think there are also intangibles that lead to people preferring one resort to another. The Wilderness Lodge is so large and sometimes Whispering Canyon can be loud, but there are lots of other areas that are quiet and it still was very relaxing.

I feel like the monorail resorts are the busiest. After those 3, it has varied.

The last time we stayed at the Poly (sept) I noticed how crowded the GCH was and I found it a turn off. The real issue was that there was a torrential downpour and we were all trying to wait it out. :)

I find a lot of deluxe lobbies are very busy. They are kind of attractions within themselves, and then of course all of the restaurants. I think it's just part of staying at a WDW deluxe. It's not going to be a serene lobby experience with just people staying there.

The AKL lodge can be busy, but overall I would describe it as peaceful. The animal viewing areas and pool are large. Also, the restaurants, Boma and Jiko for Jambo house and Sanaa for Kidani Village are off of the main lobby so that hustle and bustle is off to the side.

This is opposed to BC or Poly where the restaurants are basically right in the lobby, and the lobbies are smaller.

I highly recommend AKL period!!

Poly can get very busy. The GCH can get very loud around dinner time.

BC wasn't too bad.

We actually like the hustle and bustle at the resort. My kids enjoy having other people around to chat with or to hang out with in the pool. We've thought about offsite and it would still have to be a resort. No houses or separate condos. WBC or something of the sort.

I have never felt like any resort we have stayed at was hectic or busy, regardless of whether it was a Value or a Deluxe. I guess after dealing with crowds at the parks, the frenzied way many people choose to behave at rope drop, and feeling rushed through meals at many WDW restaurants being at ANY resort feels downright relaxing!
