Have you been turned off any of the deluxes because they have just been too busy and hectic during your stay? Which ones?

Beach Club is a lot busier than Yacht Club.

Poly is the busiest.

I think AKL can be busy since so many non resort guests seem to go there.

I did not find BWI to be busy. Perhaps because there are many entrances.

WL was gorgeous and peaceful. I’ve only been there though when we’d had dinner at Artist Point so YMMV.

I felt like AKL was super busy in the common areas, randos everywhere. Even waiting downstairs around Boma, tons of people. Gift shop always seemed pretty crowded. It didn’t make me dislike it though.

BC was really busy and it wasn't a busy week, so that turned me off ever staying there again. I think WL is the chillest. I didn't find AKL busy so it's interesting to see that others did. The main building at the Poly can be busy, but since you rarely have to go through there, it wouldn't bother me.

Our most relaxing, laid back trips have been at the Boardwalk...
The most hectic, loudest, have been at the Poly.

In our experience, the Poly was the only one we've stayed at (& we've stayed at almost every deluxe) that felt excessively busy. AKL was the most peaceful we've stayed at.

Poly lobby is busy, both levels.

It only annoyed us twice - when we wanted to get a drink at the Tambu Lounge, lot's of people taking up bar space waiting to eat at Ohana without drinks.
Walking back to our Longhouse - had to pass Trader Sam's, always people hanging out in the hallway waiting to get in - some of them were kind of annoying, already slightly drunk. :) (annoying because we were sober ;) )

Otherwise it was okay.

Compared to Polynesian, Beach Club is calm. We've stayed at both.

Poly and BC lobbies can get quite busy due to folks waiting on dining. It doesn't bother me though. Contemporary was a bit crowded but not as noticeable. BWI doesn't really get too crowded. I'm usually the one crowding up the GF as I have only stayed there once but like to visit almost every trip!!:duck:

Yeah, I would find the Tambu Lounge thing a little annoying too. I have read the same thing a few times. We have been talking about going there without the kids on our next trip and I hope we find a seat!

I've only been to Poly and GF. Poly is very busy but I still love it there. Just hard to tip toe a sleeping child from the monorail to your room but my favorite themed resort by far.

No, I've never felt the Deluxe resorts were so hectic it turned me off.
I didn't notice 1 to be busier than another. They all tend to have a lot of visitors as they all have restaurants that bring in visitors

I do not know that it turned me off, but Poly is a crowd scene. So many people coming to theGCH, so many randos wandering around.
randos?

randos?
Random people

Yacht Club is the quietest unless there is a conference going on. We also found WL to be very relaxing. We really enjoyed spending time in the Territory Lounge in the evenings. We love the Poly and the Beach Club too, but they're noisier.

Is there a way to know in advance if there will be a conference in the hotel we’re booked at?

I've never found any of the Deluxes I've stayed at to be hectic, per say. Although it's been a long time since I've stayed at the Poly! We've visited recently and that and BC have been a bit crowded.

By far the most peaceful resort we've stayed at was the GF  sometimes we felt like some of the only guests there!
