Hello everyone,

This weather has made me want to go to WDW in the worst way...and I can't go for March Break so I am a-plannin for the summer!!! :)

I'm thinking of doing a split stay - 4 nights at POP (August 20 - 23) and 4 nights at a Deluxe.

I was thinking of the Poly, but then I looked at the GF thread...decisions!!!

We've stayed at AKL and we  LOVE  it there but want to try something new.

We have a 2 and 6 year old and I will be having my birthday on the last night so I'd like to do something fun that night.

Can't wait to hear everyone's suggestions!

Thanks everyone!!! :thanks:

Beth :hippie:

I have never stayed at either but I always have wanted too. The BC or GF, BC is my first choice for the pool, My family loves to spend more time in the pools than the parks. GF is for the the way I believe it would look and feel, elegant and beautiful, and I think I would feel like a princess there. Good luck and have fun.

We actually like the wilderness lodge in the summer. Because it is so heavily wooded, it actually felt a lot cooler to me after a long hot day in the parks.

Poly!!

Look at the pictures of that volcano pool!!! Your kids will LOVE it!!! And those little kids are just a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom!!! :)

BC! Stormalong Bay is incredible and if you want some adult time at night, drop the kids at the Sandcastle Club and you can wander Epcot in the evening and hit the Boardwalk clubs.

Thanks for all the replies!!!

I like the idea of Stormalong Bay. :) Also DH likes Wilderness Lodge and that is a bit cheaper than the others but how hard is it to get to Epcot, etc from WL? Do you take the boat and then something else from the park or do they have busses too? How does that work?

Beth :)

Epcot is a 5 minute walk from the BC to the International Gateway. You could also take the Friendship, but that'll take longer. You can also walk or take the Friendship to the Studios. Bus service from BC is for MK, AK, DTD and the waterparks.

Evenings at BC are great, sometimes there are movies on the beach. All of the Boardwalk is an easy walk from the BC as well. For adult time, there is ESPN Club (also good for families) and Jellyrolls is a fun bar with dueling pianos. There are surrey bike rentals on the Boardwalk, performers (jugglers, magicians). Lot's of fun stuff :goodvibes

Travel time from WL to Epcot is longer. There is bus service or you can take the boat to MK, take the monorail to the TTC and then catch the Epcot monorail.

The AP at my school stayed there last August and RAVED about it!!! HE loved taking the boat to and from the Magic Kingdom.

We couldn't consider it because their standard rooms don't sleep 5.

Thanks!!!

I've just realized that for the price of staying at BC, I could stay concierge at AKL or almost at WL....Hmmmmm....I'm thinkin' ds6 would LOVE the sunrise safari!

Decisions, decisions.

Great to hear everyone's experiences and opinions. THanks so much. :hippie:
