Which deal is better?

Okay this year we are heading to WDW in August (I hope the heat isn't too much for DH and DD).....we have typically done April and September.
Now we are probably heading to Florida for the whole month of August so the actual date we spend at WDW is not set in stone.
So I just saw that they are having a special......35% off Deluxe resorts room rate for travel between June and August 14th.
Now typically free dining starts August 15th.....am I correct? Anyone hear any rumors on free dining happening this year?
So what would be a better deal?
If we stay at POLY or GF, 2 adults, 1 child, and we are only going for 4-5 days......would the discount off the room rate be a better deal or the free dining?
I know I could do the math but I have such a headache.....LOL......and what to figure this out to tell DH.

Generally Free Dining is more value for Values & Mods and the discounts are better for Deluxe Resorts. With two adults and one child the discount would definitely be more value than FD for a deluxe.

I completely agree. Someone on these boards told me that free dining with values, discount for deluxes and moderates can go either way and work out the same.

Thanks......I think if we go with the discount the ADR's will be easier to get as well since FD won't be on and restaurants won't be as packed.
Now off to plan
