Which days would you reserve at 11 months?

We are planning a pretty unusual trip for us, in that we're taking along four friends for our last spring break of law school, the last week of February in 2010.

I have 297 Animal Kingdom points, through banking and borrowing, enough for 5 weeknights and one weekend night in a savanna view 2 bedroom, and we will book another weekend night at the 7 month mark with our SSR points.

So my question is, which night do you think is the easiest to get at the 7 month mark... the arrival Saturday night, or the last night of the trip, a Friday night?

I figure the first way, I've got a better shot at all the weekdays, because I'm booking them quicker. But that way I have to wait that much longer to get that 7th night and maybe am losing out to people who are booking full weeks at the 7 month mark.

Personally, for our travel habits, I have always found that weekend points are easier to get than week night points. With the changes to the 2010 points charts, I'm not sure how that will play out, though. The weekends are still higher, so I'm going to assume that there will still be more availability.

I will say, though, I've never traveled during that time. Mostly March/April and summer months.

Best of luck getting your reservation, and congrats on your impending graduation!!! party:

I don't think it will matter. So, I would definitely book the day we come down first and then try to get that last day.

I would go with the last night of your trip, Friday the 26th. The weekend before maybe slightly more popular because it is the end of Winter Break (President's Week) for many north east schools.

Ah, very good point. Thanks, everybody, for your input. I'll book the first six days first.

And thanks for the graduation congratulations, though I still feel like I have a long way to go!
