Hi everyone - I will be going to Anaheim for two days in July. Arriving on a Sunday and leaving very early on a Tuesday morning. My plan is to get up early on Sunday and go to DL for a few hours until DCA opens up. Plan on spending a good deal of the day at DCA and then try to go back over to DL for the rest of the park opening hours. Then on Monday, I plan on going to DL for most of the day, if I have time I will go back over to DCA for a few repeat rides. Does this seem like a good plan? I will be staying at the Candy Cane Inn. I have heard that DL is quite crowded on Sundays and I'm hoping that DCA will be more managable.

Thanks in advance for all of your comments,

DL & DCA opening times usually only differ by an hour, closing times maybe 2 hours (DL always has longer hours). Sunday mornings are great at DL, you'll probably be able to hit most of the Etickets in a few hours without having to use Fastpass. Rides to Fastpass at DCA are Soarin', Grizzley River Run & ToT. Soarin Fastpass go really fast, get it first. you can get enother FP after 2 hours even if your time hasn't come up for the FP you're waiting for.

DCA must see - ToT, GRR, Soarin, Sreamin, the swinging cabins on the Sun Wheel, Aladdin

DL must see - Fantasmic, Fireworks, Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Mr Lincoln, Snow White show

have a great time.

One thing to watch out for is the exodus of people from DCA going to DL when DCA closes. Just be aware that when DAC closes DL is open for another 2 hours or so. Everyone goes stright from DCA to DL so it is very crowded getting back into DL.

some of this is going to depend on what date you'll be there .. Sunday July 4th will be PACKED and once you leave a park, there's no guarantee you'll get back into either park .. same thing for Sat. July 17th (DL's 49th birthday). Other than that, you should be ok.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will keep in mind about going from DCA to DL right at DCA's closing. We will be doing that on July 11th. We may not stay until the closing of DCA that night anyway. I am so looking forward to going back to Anaheim and showing my friend the new park. Can't wait for CA's version of Tower of Terror!
