Which day for Universal ?

My Wife , 2 boys (ages 3 and 5) and i will be traveling to DL June 26 thru July 01,2005.(1st Visit) Was wondering if anyone could suggest what day to go to Universal ? We booked thru Disney Travel, transportation to Universal included. Do they limit you to the days you can go or can you go when you want? Thank you all in advance for any tips you may give us...

I have no idea if they limit your days or not, but with someone else doing the driving, I'd pick a weekday because the backlot tour is more interesting when there's filming going on and they don't film on weekends very often.

Ok..I'll bite..weekday...how long a drive from DL to Universal?...and...I am a firefighter...I know there is a backdraft ride there...do they have a shop with backdraft stuff in it?..thanks...(may have to bring more money if there is)

Could take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half--depends on the traffic. While there's no shop as you exit Backdraft, I'm sure they have some related merchandise around there somewhere.
