We will have only one day at DL before our cruise. We are flying in late (arrive at 10:00) on Thursday night. We could either go Friday or Saturday. Sunday we will board the ship. There are longer hours on Friday but Saturday is a passholder blackout so that might help? Saturday is of course a MM which we will not be eligible for. We will not park hop. We are using the give a day tickets and will only have to buy a ticket for our 4yo. The flights were so much cheaper on Thursday that we are saving $400 for the 4 of us. We plan to use priceline for the hotel. We are hoping that we can keep the two days at under $400 including hotel so that we come out even and DL is just a bonus to our trip. We will of course eat off site probably fast food since we will have tons of food for a week on the ship. Any advice on which day is best would be greatly appreciated. We have been to DL before and will make a list of must do's with our young children 4 and 6.

Where are you flying in from? Will you have a time change to work to your advantage? If so, I would go Friday for 2 reasons. First, there is no MM, so you can get to the gates 30 min early and be on an even playing field in the morning. AP holders won't show up until later so you should have a pretty quiet morning. You could spend the morning collecting FP's for your afternoon/evening in the park. I believe most of the beginning Spring Breakers will start arriving that weekend, so Saturday might be busier for that reason as well. I would recommend getting a hotel within walking distance if at all possible so you can take a mid-day nap break.

Thanks for the help. I was just looking online for a hotel and some are already booked so I did some more searching and it looks like there is a huge basketball conference that weekend at the convention center! So my biggest problem now might be finding a cheap hotel. I am sure DL will be packed but no big deal as it is a bonus to our actual trip. Wish me luck!
I might go ahead and book the Anaheim Park as it is going for $74 and then see if anything on priceline comes up later.

Thanks!

Do you mean the Anaheim Plaza? That would be my pick for a budget walking distance hotel. :thumbsup2
