We’d like to do the before fireworks dessert party with garden (Plaza?) viewing on our June trip. First time doing this. Trying to decide which is the best day for this:
1. Arrival day, a Saturday. Go to MK in the evening with the fireworks as our focus. Maybe ride 1 or 2 rides.
2. A later day in the week with evening EMH.

Thoughts?
ETA: It’s an adults trip, just two of us.

I was going to say the same as PP - first night fireworks party date night sounds good to me.

Also side note which may or may not be of interest to you (or might be helpful to someone reading), when you go the After Party Dessert Party and the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party will be serving beer/wine. The Plaza Garden party (the “Before” party) will continue to not offer adult beverages. Just thought I’d mention it if any interest.

I am watching this thread too regarding recommended nights...but I didn't know about beer and wine. Does this make the after party more expensive?

How does this work? Is it "unlimited" like the desserts????

The beer/wine at the After Party and Tomorrowland Terrace Party starts 2/1 - so we’re about to find out. But at the other park dessert parties that offer alcohol, there is no posted limit on consumption.

We went years ago when it first started and it was just desserts and soft drinks/coffee. It way my son, his wife and myself. We went on arrival day. In hindsight, for us, it probably wasn't the best idea. We drive down from Georgia, about a 7 1/2 drive and only eat fast food breakfast then car snacks on the way down. We knew we were doing the dessert party and it would be a lot of desserts so we wanted to be able to eat as much as we could so we just grabbed a light meal when we got there. I think we went to one of the monorail resorts and got two QS meals and shared between the three of us. That didn't work well for me. On a good day I can eat maybe one cupcake and a brownie all day long. I think I managed to get down 3 things and that was it, too much sweets for me. My son and DIL did a little better but none of us were feeling very good. By the time the FWs were done and fighting everyone to get out of the park on a bus back to YC we were exhausted and wished we had planned it for a different day.

We usually do it twice per trip and always end the trip with it. However, with the recent price increase, especially for the after party which we like to do at the end of the trip, they may have priced us out. We pay another 32% or so in exchange, and that's a lot of $ for a family of 4 for some sweets and a reserved spot.

You don't mention how or when you are arriving on your first day, however, I, personally, am always hesitant to book pre-pay events on our first night due to travel delay risks. I would put it later in the week.

We’re driving, although that’s a good point.
