Trying to decide which dates would be best. Any thoughts in terms of crowds and what entertainment is available?

A quick, late decided trip - Sept. 11-16 or Sept. 18-23
or
A more thought out trip - Jan. 29-Feb. 2

We've done Disneyland during Halloween before and some loved it while others didn't. Not looking to do the Halloween party so not a big deal to miss. Not sure what to choose at this point. Flights would be the same price and hotel would only be $100 cheaper in Sept. versus Jan., but we wouldn't get the room we were hoping to get.

Anyway, it's been 5 years since we last went and I'm totally out of the loop as to how to plan trips anymore. The crowds are what worry me the most. I have an autistic child and want to go when it's as slow as possible, which I've learned really doesn't happen much anymore. I've been told it's just always busy.

Thanks so much!

I have special needs kids. Sensory but not autistic. I'd go when I had time to plan better but since the costs are about the same either would work. The real turn off for me in Sept is the heat. But Jan is cold. :confused3 I'd rather bring gloves than be too hot.
