If you had to choose the 1st or the 3rd week in December which would it be? Thanks

Definitely the first week of December. The crowds are doable and the weather is perfect. We stayed at the BC December 9-16th and we had 80 degree weather and hardly any wait time. From what I hear the weeks following starts getting busier and busier. Have Fun!

Third week. We were there December 19-23 and the crowd level was lower than the first week, IMO. The Christmas crowds didn't start coming in until Sunday morning as we were leaving. During the first week of December you have the Pop Warner kids and the parks can get crazy at night, but we didn't notice that later in the month.

As far as weather, December is VERY unpredictable. It can be 80 degrees one day and 30 the next, and that is the way it is for most of the month. Go prepared for any kind of weather. We experienced alot of ups and downs the few days we were there and in December 2006, it was really cold the whole week (Dec 3-10).
