Hi! I'm staying at CSR 10/16-20 ~ solo trip though I'll be spending some time with my sister. Which area of CSR is your favorite and why? My only requests ~ already on the ressie ~ are non-smoking and NO feather pillows due to allergies...other than that I'm cool. TIA for all your comments and advice!

I like the Ranchos best as they seem to be the most themed and most detailed. The Casitas are pretty and impressive but remind me more of a large hotel. The Cabana we stayed in was nice. The location was great and the rusted roof added to the theme but they were a bit bland. The Rancho's have alot of atmosphere and interesting rockwork, gardens and creeks. The room was a bit more subdued in it's color scheme. Some people dislike the Ranchos because they are farthest from the check in area, restaurants and shop.

We requested and got Cabana 8A for our stay there a few years ago. Being close to the main pool and a bus stop were the two most important factors, and Cabana 8A fit in nicely!

I'll agree that the Rancho section is the best themed, with the Casitas being the prettiest.

But for location to The Dig Site, Cabana 8A won us over! Plus this particular section of rooms sits sideways, so you won't get any direct parking lot views!

I really enjoyed Casita 1. We were just around the corner from El Centro. I also like the fact that if it was raining you didn't have to dodge between buildings to get to the bus stop. It really depends on your priorities. For us being close to El Centro was important. We figured with bad weather we wanted a covered walk to the main building.

We like the Ranchos best for several reasons -

-They have the coolest theming and landscaping. The attention to detail is amazing!

-Ranchos 7B (my personal favorite) is not too far from the El Centro area. It is a very pleasant little walk over a nice bridge and through some really pretty areas. It is also located really close to the Dig Site pool. We loved Ranchos 7B. There was a quiet pool literally right outside our door.

We walked through all the other areas, but we really liked the look and location of the Ranchos best.

We like the Casitas, building 5. It is a little walk from El Centro, but not too far. It is also pretty close to the Dig Site Pool.

:D

Piglet203 and I wanted the Ranchis section when we first booked our trip. Then we saw more pictures of the resort and wanted the Cabanas section. When we actually got to the resort, we were places in the Ranchos section, and we were glad that we were placed there. It was our favorite section and just seemed more beautiful than the other two, not that they were ugly.

you said you liked Ranchos 7B. Could you tell me how close that is to the nearest bus stop

I too stayed in Cabanas 8A and loved the proximity to the Dig Site, and bus stop. I was on a solo trip, and felt fine about going to the spa in the evening. i enjoyed looking across the water to El Centro, and walking across the bridge to the Pepper Market.

Thanks y'all! I think I'm just going to be my bubbly little self when I get there and trust that things work out. As long as it's non-smoking I'm good (yeah ~ that's noted due to allergies!) ~ and besides, I'm going to Disney World!! (Oh yeah ~ and seeing my sister I haven't seen since Christmas 2000!!)

PS ~ Any other responses are welcome and appreciated.

There is a bus stop just out behind the Ranchos 7B building. It was really convenient to hop on the bus.
