In this day of trying to save $$$ we are planning on doing donuts, sweet-rolls etc in the room then an early CS lunch. We have early ADRs around 5:00 pm.

So what are your favorite fill ups in the way of CS?

Thanks, Dave

Flame Tree BBQ in AK as good for a huge lunch also Tangerine Cafe in EPCOT is also good for HUGE prtions. we usually share lunch at these places.

If you're at DTD, I highly recommend Wolfgang Puck Express. It's the best CS meal on property in my opinion.

As for the parks, we grow tired of the traditional burger/chicken served at most CS. In MK, there's a CS restaurant on the path from Main Street to Tomorrowland on your right. They serve asian food and it's a nice change from the typical CS food.

AK has a couple of good CS options. We like the Flametree BBQ.

At Epcot, there's a food court in the Land pavillion. There's a good variety there.

We also like to take a mid-afternoon break back to the hotel to recharge. We find the CS food options to be far superior at the hotels over the theme parks.

It's called Sunshine Seasons, I believe. I ate there for the first time on our September trip and it was, by far, our best CS meal of the trip. I had a ham and salami grinder. My DH had a half of a rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and cooked carrots. He loved it.

We were surprised at the quantities served at the Flametree BBQ at AK. We love it there and are sorry we won't be going there this time around.

Not sure of other parks. It's been over 2.5 years since our last WDW trip and have had 2 more kids since then so my memory is shot. But I STRONGLY recommend Flametree if you like BBQ.

AK: Flame tree BBQ

HS: Back lot express has a good turkey sandwich on whole grain

MK: if the Noodle station is open it has good food- if not Cosmic Rays for Chicken and ribs

Epcot: Tagerine Cafe, Sunshine Seasons has so much variety- everything from Chicken and potatoes to grinders and Asian Foods

AK: Flame Tree BBQ meals are BIG
MK: I think Cosmic Rays... 1/2 chicken dinner, chicken and rib combo, etc
EP: Tangierine Cafe Mmmmmmmmm:lovestruc :lovestruc
DHS: I'm not a huge fan of any particular CS here... we ate at the Backlot Express and shared double cheeseburgers. Big and filling... not particularly delicious but they did their job!

My Votes:

DAK - Flame Tree BBQ
MK - Columbia Harbor House 1/2 Sandwich and Soup Combo....mmmmmm and Cosmic Rays for the toppings bar alone.

DHS - Backlot Express I second the turkey sandwich
Epcot - Tangerine Cafe (love the platters), Sunshine Seaons in the Land (the grilled salmon is awesome, eat it, then ride the Land's Boat ride to see his brothers and sisters....LOL!! They are farmed on property)

DTD- Earl of Sandwich, many variations of sandwiches to choose from and great soups!

One I will be trying for the first time on my upcoming trip is the Yak n Yeti CS in DAK, have heard some good things about it.

DHS- try Pizza Planet they have combo meals which consist of, personal sized pizza, plus you can get chips or a salad, a drink and desert(?) We have gone here every year and you get enough to share.

We also really liked the Earl of Sandwhich in DTD. The portions were huge. I really should have split my sandwhich with DS.

My favorites are:
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons. Lots of choices. We eat here everytime. The chinese food is great and the portions are huge
and the desserts are great.
Mexico CS combo platter. MMMmmm
DTD: Earl of Sandwich and WPE
MK: El Pirate Y El Perico - great tacos!

I, unlike other posters found Flametree to be inedible and disgusting.
Sure, the portions are big, but EWWW.
I have no advice for AK and DHS

WPE
Tangierine Cafe
Cosmic Rays
Flame Tree BBQ

DTD: Wolfgang Puck Express - everything is delicious. We also love Earl of Sandwich.
MK: Cosmic Rays. Lots of choices and the food was surprisingly good (we enjoyed this meal much more than our old favorite Peco's Bills )
Epcot: Tangierine Cafe: DH and I split the combo plate and it was filling and excellent! We also love Sunshine Seasons. Tons of choices with excellent portions. (I love the salami & ham grinder) I would recommend staying away from the Asian spot there. DH tries it every time :confused3 and he never likes it.
AK: Flame Tree BBQ - We love everything there.
DHS: I got nothing for you here. :sad2:

Mostly duplicates but here goes:

MK-Cosmic Rays-the chicken/rib combo-sharable.
AK-Flametree
EPCOT-Tangierine Cafe and Sunshine Seasons
DHS-nothing.
DTD-Wolfgang Puck Express. Our new CS favorite. Ate there twice in Sept. :goodvibes

MK Cosmic Rays

Epcot Sunshine seasons

AK Flame Tree
