Which is a good one? What places are the best with two younger kids 6 and under?

My personal favorite is the Eastern. My children are now a little older, but this was the easiest for us. The ports were VERY friendly. We did the Western 2x, but felt we enjoyed the ports of call more on the Eastern. We did our own beach excursions in St. Thomas and St. Maartan, and never had a concern..

It is all personal preference of course, and I would cruise any route that I could, on the week that I could.

I have never done the 3 or 4 nighter (yet) as I feel 7 was too short on the ship.

We also like Eastern. The ports are more family friendly, everyone in port speaks English, and you have the extra sea day. There's nothing wrong with the Western, but we prefer Eastern.

we have only ever gone on the Eastern (have a Western booked for next year though!). We really enjoyed the Eastern. The extra day at sea was nice, very relaxing, and more opportunities to do activities on the ship. We enjoyed the ports too. Would definitely do the Eastern again, but we decided that we would also like to try the Western. I know I will miss that extra sea day though!

Another thought - if you can book on a "double dip" cruise (2 stops at Castaway Cay), that's always a hit with the kids, and kids at heart. I'm pretty sure my family isn't alone in saying that's the best port of call there is!!!:thumbsup2

We prefer the Western, but our kids are older. I definitely think the Eastern is the better choice with younger kids. The Western ports offer more water sports and historical excursions while the Eastern ports have more beaches and activities that are family-friendly. The extra sea day on the Eastern is also nice, with plenty for kids (and adults) to do on board.
