We cruised in Feb and it was a wee bit chilly, even down in the Caribbean. We could/would not get in the water.
We live about 20 minutes from the port of Baltimore (and within an easy drive to the NY/NJ ports) and it is VERY nice to not have to fly or drive for 2 days to get to port...very very nice. Cruising out of NY was really nice, scenic-wise, too. But I agree that trying a cruise with different ports is also a plus (there is only so much of Nassau one needs to experience...we don't even get off the ship for Nassau anymore).
The only Disney cruise I have been on was the Magic and I LOVED that ship. We do Carnival and prefer similar ships to the Magic (not into the bigger ships).
