On the information Disney sent me there are two different courthouses listed to get our marriage license. Does anyone have any opinions on which one to go to? Thanks

We did ours through Brevard County


Doing it through the mail was a great choice for us, and super easy to do as well.

While you can't do it over the phone you can do it by mail.

SO easy by mail! You download the form, you can FAX it in, and they will get back to you really fast if they had questions.

I spoke to a woman from there today - she couldn't read my postal code and called me to make sure she had it right!

I faxed it yesterday morning, she is mailing it out today. I get it, we sign in front of notary, send in 93.50 US with it, and BAM! The send you the license.

I am SO impressed so far!!

No idea - you could email them and ask though! Their email address for questions is listed on the application form first page

They will not process the paperwork until 60 days beforehand. You can request the paperwork earlier, but when you send it back, they will sit on it if they have to until it's about 60 days out.

So if I start organising it now at 7 months out they'll hold onto it until 2 months out?

This might be a good idea, as notarys are not that common here, we have JPs instead, it would give me time to track one down!

Any stories of them losing the paperwork?

Another vote for the on-line through Brevard it was super easy and they are very responsive. Don't know if I would do it a long way out - just add it to the list to do 2 or 2 & 1/2 months out.

I haven't heard any, but I am kind of uptight and might worry that they'd lose it that far out. I wonder if they will accept the seal of a JP instead...
