Just curious about which corndogs people think are better, the ones at DL or the ones at DCA? And why do you think it's better?

I noticed a couple of different posts lately talking about the corndogs. One person insisted that the ones at DCA are the best while another person said the ones at DL are better. I would think they would be the same.

DH likes corndogs and wants to make sure he's getting the best one! :rotfl:

I don't know, is there a difference? I've only tried the Corn Dog castle ones in DCA, and it was SOOoooo good!

Hey, ask Hound 109. He's the "corny dog" expert. He's the connoisseur of corn dogs. (yes, I had to spell check connoisseur :rotfl: )

Yeah, I would think they would be the same but I've been getting the impression that people like one over the other for some reason.

Oh, the crazy things we discuss. :lmao:

I'd be interested to know as well. I've only had the ones from Corndog Castle in DCA. And those are amazing!

DCA!! I like the ones at the Corn Dog Castle because they have the hot link ones and they're spicey. They don't have those at the red wagon in DL.

I like DCAs better. But it's been a loooooong time since I've had one in DL and then it was only a few bites. I'm with Courtney (again, hello twin! lol) I love the spicy one in DCA!! YUM!

I guess that I am the odd one that prefers the DL ones better. :confused3 The last 2 that I had in DCA were severly undercooked and the "dough" was all mushy and runny on the inside  .. Maybe it was because they were super busy :confused3 but I have never had that problem in DL..
I have never tried a spicy one.. I will have to get one of those next time :woohoo:

Well I didnt really notice a difference at all... This might sound silly but you know how when you eat outside compared to inside and things taste differently? Maybe the atmosphere makes things taste better :confused3

Cause to be honest I LOVE getting the corn dogs at the little red wagon in DL over the corn dog castle in DCA. For some reason although there really isnt much of a difference... I enjoy eating the corn dog from DL over DCA.

The one time I had one at DCA, I liked it better than the DL ones because it was slightly more cooked, ergo the outside was crunchier (with the inside still being softish like a regular corndog).

There is only 1 kind in DL; DCA has 2 kinds, the regular (same as DL) and spicy. They also have a fried cheese thing that I still haven't tried!!

Hi Kerri!!!!

OOOhhh! The fried cheese is pretty good.:thumbsup2

I'll have to try the fried cheese, that sounds yummy!

I've never had the ones in DCA, but the one on Main St. are freaking delicious (and I don't even like corndogs!)

LOVE the corndogs in DL!! Haven't YET tried them at DCA, although they're on my 'gonna try/have' list :goodvibes

April :)

My DH & I agree - DL is better! My husband usually prefers the hot links, but likes the breading over in DL more. Plus, we like to hit DCA when it opens and start in the back. The Corndog Castle opens "around 11ish" during off season. And by the time we get our corndogs we are too hungry!!!

I would recommend Corn Dog Castle!! It's sooo good it should be its own food group!!!!

I vote for DCA. Everytime I have one at Disneyland, the red cart by the baby center on Main St., it is really heavy and gives me a stomach ache. Now the ones at Corn dog castle are great!

Put me down on the DL side. My experience was that DCA was way overcooked the two times I tried it. Granted, the last time I had one from DCA was only a few months after they opened, but I haven't been back since. I may have to go try that spicy one, though.

I'm a DCA fan myself, for no reason really. Probably because if I was hungry for something on a stick in DL I would hit up Bengal BBQ.

I have a friend who ate three corn dogs in DCA his first trip because he loved his first one so much and he wasn't sure when he'd get back. He also had four churros for the same reason. And to top it off he is skinny like a twig! hehe He still texts me often "Churro time?" or "I need a corn dog bad!" hehe. We're gonna get him back soon so he can reload! :rotfl2:

hound <------ "corny dog connoisseur" :snooty:

;) :rotfl:

I prefer Corn Dog Castle for the variety (sometimes i feel like a spicy corny dog) & also because i like sitting next to the Golden Zephyr while munching them. (note - they serve an interesting chili-cheese infused corny dog during the food & wine festival).

But i also like the ones in the little red wagon just off Main St. in DL. Why not try them both? :thumbsup2

Corny Dogs....the perfect meal for the commando'ing Disboarder. :cool2:
