Ok, I'm kind of confused and a bit frustrated right now. We are staying Dec. 4-18 and I've been making my dining reservations online all week with no problems. The first day I could make ADRs up to the 14th, the next day I could make them for the 15th, etc.

Today I can make them online for the 17th, so I called in because I wanted to book a Candlelight Processional dinner package. The first CM I spoke to found us a spot at Garden Grill, but I wasn't at home making my call so I didn't have my credit card # with me to guarantee it (I forgot I needed it for that!). No problem, we're not fussy about which restaurant we get, I'll just call back later. I just called back and this CM told me that it is against their policy, she can only book for 10 days after my check-in date, which for me is the 14th. For the 15th I have to wait until 90 days before which is Sept.16th. Wait, I tell her, I already have ADRs booked for the 15 and 16th online - she punches in my confirmation numbers, and sure enough, she says they show up for her. She talks to her supervisor, and comes back on and says that it is policy to only book for 10 days from check-in and the other CM wasn't allowed to.

Aaarrrggghhhh!!!!:sad2:

Who is right here?? Do I dare call a third time?? I wish this was able to be booked online, it was so much easier for me to get these online than conflicting info from the CMs. She said it must be a glitch in the system and I must be lucky then, cause it's against their policy.

Technically, you're only allowed to make ADRs for up to 10 days after your arrival date. That's the basic policy for all Disney resort guests.

If a cast member somehow managed to get you an ADR at 11+ days past your arrival date, they are doing something above and beyond what they were allowed to do. That means they really are not supposed to do that.

I don't understand that the online booking system allowed more than 10 days out. Maybe that's a glitch that you were able to take advantage of? If so, congrats, count yourself lucky. ;)

Never mind, I just had to vent earlier!!

Here's what happened. I called a third time and the CM was able to book us a CP package for the 17th no problem - we actually had our choice of restaurants at the time. She said it probably was a glitch in the system, because the 2nd CM was right and they are normally only allowed to book 10 days from check-in. But, she said for whatever reason it was allowing her to do it, so she'd go with it :)

I guess it's the unfortunate reality of computer/online systems - the glitches can be good or bad and we really have no control over that. Hopefully others out there staying longer than 10 days are having the same "luck" we are.
