Which club level is better: Swan or Dolphin?

We're staying for one night at the beginning of our late Nov. WDW trip at either Swan or Dolphin CL on SPG points. I've never stayed CL at either. Which lounge has better/more food and beverage offerings? Or are they exactly the same?

Stayed CL at Swan last year and thought it was great. Wonderful offering for breakfast and afternoon hors D'heuvres. Staff was very helpful and lounge was well-maintained. You can see the offerings at allearsnet.com go to swan and concierge and you can see pictures. We thought the whole CL was well worth it.

Thanks for your reply, Connears! Do you know how CL at the Dolphin compares? We will have 4 small kids and a teenager with us (we will have 2 connecting rooms).

Don't know first hand, but the Dolphin is much bigger resort so that may impact CL lounge #'s. We liked being at the more intimate Swan, but ate at Fresh and Dolphin fountain and the lobby area of Dolphin is very nice.

You may also want to compare the other amnenities of the 2 resorts, to make your decision.

Having stayed @ both resorts (only club at dolphin) I prefer the dolphin to the swan. Seems like the main pools are closer to the dolphin. The views are better at the dolphin (at least the ones I've seen), better & more choices resturants at the dolphin. & laundry facilities are located only at the dolphin. Swan gets marks for being smaller, more intimate, & better self parking.

Its been quite a while since we were at the dolphin concerige, but we were located in the main building (triangle area) had a great view of swan, mgm, & epcot) and the lounge was open with hot hordorves certain hours during the day. They had an honor bar system. pop etc... was free. It was not worth coming back early in the day to eat there or anything, if we were there we stopped for a pop and bite but that was it. The club is on 1 floor and rooms were housed on 2 floors. Seemed to have mostly business types there, when we went. Depends if there is a convention when your going.

Our swan stay was Very less than desirable, (not club) but we had a swan studio suite. (Am RN will discount ) And had room for 1 week after poly for 1 week, we check out on 2nd day and moved to Beach club. Swan could not (or would not) more our location, to other room, or dolphin. Lots of probablems with room, and they did not help, kept blowing us off, so we cut our losses and left. After we got home, they then wanted to "help us" with a return visit. Which we have declined. This was 2 or 3 years ago now.

I'm not sure but I thought you had club hopping priviliages if staying at one now? I would look into that. Thought I read that somewhere?

The food offerings are the same.

We've used both CL lounges, several times.

I would choose the Swan over the Dolphin....just for Mama T and Thabo.

You can't go wrong with either, though!

I second the hooray for Thabo! He asked us each morning what are plans were for the day, what we did yesterday..can he do anything for us! He was genuine..not just making conversation!

I've never used the CL at the Dolphin, but I can honestly say after several stays at the Swan that Mama T is an absolute gem. You won't meet a nicer lady. She gives the impression that she is blessed to be able to serve you and yours.
