Thank goodness the computers and DVRs change themselves automatically!!! I've gone ahead and changed most of my clocks, because I might fall asleep and forget about it otherwise. Most of my clocks are either the wind a button to move the time type, or the push the button and reset the microwave/stove type. One gave me a real fit once, though. It was the clock in my (then new) minivan. I did everything I could think of (except read the manual!!) and finally asked someone at the gas station if he knew how the "new" clocks were set. He took a pen out of his pocket, uncapped it, poked the tip into the little recessed area marked "H" on the dashboard next to the clock - and voila!!! the time changed!!! Who knew???

Do/did any of your clocks give you trouble? Anything flashing "12:00" at your house???

The car. I haven't been able to change it since last time. The pendulum one I just move the hands. Microwave, not too bad. Alarm clock is easy, and the others change themselves.

I can't wait for the time change so that now my car clock will be correct! :thumbsup2

The other one that is problematic is a mantel clock in my den. This time of year, it's easy because all I have to do is move the big hand, letting it chime every 15 minutes, until it's an hour later. In the fall, though, I have to wait until it completely runs down, wait an hour, then rewind it. Yuck!!

My father's watch! UUGGGGG Every time change he asks me to change his digital watch. And every time I can not figure it out. Usually I get lucky and do the right combination of buttons to get it done. Not this time :confused3 I will try again tomorrow.

Maybe he will take it to the watch place at the mall and use his "I am old and can't see the buttons" routine and they do it for him.. :rolleyes2

I swear I am going to buy him a spring watch and a fall watch :rotfl:

The clock in the old Saturn gave DH trouble, but I'd figured that one out. This is another time change that it sits in the driveway and isn't being changed, though.

VCR was a pain, but we've unplugged it! So, it's all easy stuff now :thumbsup2

Our kitchen clock. It's not changing the time, it's getting it hung back on the wall that's a pain.

Computers switch automatically? OOPS

I lucked out this year, when I went to start changing the clocks a little while ago I first asked DH if he had done any yet and he told me they are all done (except for the ones that change on their own).

DD got a little confused though, she saw the time on two different clocks and didn't know which was the right time.

I haven't started changing any of my clocks yet. But I know the one in my car will be the one to give me the most probs. Not because its hard to do, its just I wont think about it. That clock will just show the wrong time for a couple of weeks till I finally get around to it. I procrastinate, and thats just how it is.

My clock in my car, I still haven't changed it from fall so now it will be right- well almost ! I keep it fast by 6 minutes which would really confuse my older DD's friends so I claimed it was a math exercise for my first grader you know the time is what it says minus 1 hour and 6 minutes. I think it worked he is the best so far at telling time and in Math.

Mine were my watches .I had and wore 6 different ones for different things .They are ALL duel times Digital and analog so getting them synced up was a real pain.

I only wear a watch now if I'm going to be in the water for a period of time or need to time (boat rental) while on the water.

Thank GOD for Nextel and it's auto update between my cell and Works I never need a watch anymore.

My car clock. Never can remember how to do it. My kids end up doing it for me.

What clock gave me trouble, omg, I am angry at half my clocks!

We have 6 atomic alarm clocks, 2 dvrs, 4 computers, you get the point. I had to be at work today at 7 am. So I set all the alarm clocks and my cell phone as back up. They were set for 6:15 am. 6:15 am rolls around and my cell phone goes off and then after the alarm went off and I hit okay it changed itself to 7:15 :confused3 (swear on the world), and the atomic clocks, it too was supposed to switch itself, it was set correctly, date and everything and it went off according to yesterdays time.

Maybe you have to set the alarm over once the time changes :confused3

Thank goodness for computers and dvrs, I was able to "double check" the time and I was only 30 minutes late to work

The entire hotel was closed and no breakfast was served until late all because of my stupid clocks. Luckily, only 3 people we waiting and they just laughed it off.

I haven't attempted to change my clocks yet (I am still in bed! :cool1: ). When I do attempt to change my clocks, I figure it'll be pretty easy. Especially since I never changed the time on my stove/microwave, so they are good now. :thumbsup2

I hear ya'! :sad2: I lost the nail for the kitchen clock! I looked for about 30 min., finally went to the basement and got a new nail! :furious: I'm on my way now to sweep the floor and find that darn nail! :rolleyes2

I am hung up on clocks, I have clocks all over my condo. In the spring it's no big deal to set them all ahead an hour. In the fall, I have this Haunted Mansion clock that chimes, and if the chimes are not precisely lined up with the time I have problems. To set the clock back and have the chimes match up it's necessary to move the hands through an entire 24 hour cycle, since the thing is supposed to chime only between 6 AM and 10 PM. In the fall I forgot and tried to move the hands backwards. This threw off the chiming and it takes forever to get the chime and the time lined up properly again.

This is my favorite clock, but what a pain in the rear. At least that isn't an issue with setting it ahead.

The clock in the computer lab of the library I work in....

EVERY spring, the PC Reservation system rolls ahead TWO hours...every single spring (you'd think they've fixed it by now).

Usually, it's no big deal, but now, the county has decided that I'm not responsible enough to have access to changing the clock on the computer, so the lab will have to close an hour early.

yeah. The clock and date change themselves.

This was what the Y2K scare was all about. people didn't know what was going to happen to computers when they had to change to 2000 instead of 1999. Computers weren't made to go past 1999.

(patches were made to fix this though)
