Which characters are usually at the meet and greet for Disney Visa card holders?

We had Mickey and Goofy in June of 05.

At WDW they rotate Mickey ,Minnie,Goofy and Pluto

When we were there in October they had Mickey and Goofy together for 1/2 hour, then Chip and Dale for 1/2 then back to Mickey and Goofy. We got lucky and got there at shift change and ended up seeing all 4. My dd had a great time playing with them. There was no one else there. It's so much fun. If you ask the CM who is checking your VISA they can tell you who is there and when others will be there.

It's in Ariel's Grotto restaurant at DCA before they open (prior to 11:30 am).

LITTLE KNOWN FACT! You can use the free photo coupon for ANY character photo, not just the ones taken there. If you get a great shot with Cruella by Hollywood, or the Incredibles you can get that instead.

ALSO!!! The times we've used it, it has been one free photo PER DISNEY VISA, so I get one and DH gets one.

It's also 1 per day. and you can go back and get more pictures that day most of the time but only 1 voucher per account # for that day

We've only seen Goofy & Mickey there. We asked when we got there who we'd see, but the CM wouldn't tell us. SHe just told us we wouldn't be disappointed.

The last time we were there, I was wearing my Mickey Crocs and Mickey really liked them. He also twirled my oldest DD, dancing her around and around while Goofy covered my youngest DD's eyes and played with her. Then Mickey gave me kisses while I posed with him & Goofy.

It was lots of fun.

They didn't let me do that, nor did they let some others here. I'm thinking you got lucky.

We asked on multiple trips about using the voucher for a different photo and they wouldn't let us.

As far as getting a voucher for each Disney Visa, they were checking account numbers, so if you each have the same account, they'd only give one but if you have two different accounts then you'd get two.

I have done both also. So I guess it must be who ever is working that day. When we went they actually asked DH and I if we both had a card so we could get 2 vouchers.

Doesn't hurt to try, all they can tell you is no.

We've also been there with Chip and Dale. Dh and I each have seperate disney visas, so we've had no trouble getting 2 vouchers. We went last Aug and had no problems using the vouchers on other photos in DCA. I gues it's hit and miss with castmembers allowing you to do that.

I'm sure it is hit and miss.

the photographer is the one who told us we could use it for any photo. But the gal at the counter told us we couldn't.

But like a PP said - it never hurts to ask!

When we were there recently I totally blanked the Disney VISA meet and greet. We did have our pics taken with characters however on the photo pass. What are the odds that I call them and see if they will give me the free pic? Anyone done this?

I'd wager they won't be able to give you the free pic now. From what I understand, you have to pick up the free photo in the park that day. You can't do it through PhotoPass at home.

You don't have to use the free picture card that they give you that day. So if you don't like the photo, you can save the voucher.

We have tried to get pictures other than the meet and greet and it was a no go.

Also you must get the photo at greeting in DCA. Not avaliable online. We have asked..

We were able to use our voucher (DH and I each have a card, but same account, so we only got one voucher) to get a photo that was taken in DL at the DL photoshop on Main Street. No problems with it.

Thanks so much. I've had a Disney Visa since Day 1 and never did this!!! Where exactly do I go?? And its 1 photo a day? Great info on this board.

Yep, one photo per day. You go to Ariel's Grotto restaurant in DCA. CMs are right outside the door to check your Visa and direct you from there!
