Which character meals are good for 2 adults with no kids!?!

For adults, we like Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch or dinner and Garden Grill in Epcot for dinner. LTT and GG always seem a little more sane than, say, Chef Mickey's which we did once for breakfast and once for dinner and now avoid. For a breakfast, we have found the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at 'Ohana to be more relaxed and sane than some of the others. We haven't done 1900 Park Faire, but the many little princesses amassed at the entrance is enough to warn us off that one. We once saw a mother berating her little princess by declaring that this meal cost far more than they could afford and she would wear her princess outfit and enjoy it. Oy!

Thinking about it reminds me why we never do character meals anymore, although the ones I mentioned are better than most.

Mr. FFerret and I went to MNSSHP one night and had dinner at LTT. Food was alright, but the atmosphere was excellent! I got some awesome pics of the characters in their halloween/ colonials. Pluto was a blast--he had a cape on and would pose. I called him "Super Pluto;" silly puppy

DH and I are taking his 75 year old aunt to WDW in May. I asked her if she'd be interested in going to a character meal and she said yes! LOL I explained all of them to her; told her which characters are at each restaurant, and in the end she chose lunch at the Crystal Palace on our last day, because she likes the Winnie the Pooh and Friends characters. I know we'll have a great time!

I do have a question though; when we took our DSs to Crystal Palace in 2001 they didn't do the conga line or napkin twirling. Did I read correctly, do they do these things now there? Thanks

We were at Chef Mickey's in Nov. The do the napkin twirling but there was no conga line. This was for dinner.

the garden grill in epcot land pavillion is great and the character interaction is very low key.

My DF and I went to Crystal Palace for breakfast last year.

This year we're doing Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Ohana!

Garden Grill would definetely be my suggestion. It was quiet for a character meal and the characters spent lots of time with all tables.

I have been to all 3 and would recommend all of them for adults only. Ohana's also has a conga line, but not mandatory. Two of the quieter meals, maybe more suited for adults, would be LTT or GG at Epcot. They are both sit down meals and the tables tend to be a little more private/less kids running around. Hope this helps.

We went as a group of adults in 2006, no kids. We loved CP and CM the best but we also had a lot of fun at both CRT and Epcot's castle (all breakfasts). The characters interacted with us just as much as the kids and we had a blast. This year we've booked CP breakfast, CM dinner and 1900 PF for dinner. I can't wait!

I went in the fall with my parents (I'm 24) and we did breakfast at both Crystal Palace and Cinderella's Royal Table

That said, we had an absolute BLAST. Both meals had a lot of other adult only tables (Crystal Palace was almost 50% adult only tables) Crystal Palace had a children's parade that no one was forced to join (you could wave napkins in the air from the comfort of your seat if you chose to do so, but that wasn't required either) At CRT, there is a wishing ceremony that is just for the kids.

At both meals, the characters spent just as much quality time with us as they did at the tables with kids and the waiters often would offer to take pictures for you so that all of the members of your party could be in with the character if they wanted.

Don't hesitate to do it for a second - you'll really be missing out and the character interaction is so much better than the regular meet and greets. The hard decision will be selecting WHICH character meal(s) to book!

CRT for Dinner--there is Fairy Godmother and the Mice--it seem a little more
adult. This may be the one that another Poster suggested to get seats for 2 by the window.

We also love O'hana Breakfast--love the atmosphere--and going to visit
the POLY--(because we can't afford to stay there--so this is next best thing).

While it's not a Character Meal We really enjoy eating Lunch at Tony's Town Square
(so romantic--with Lady and The Tramp Theme).

I'm sure you will be the biggest Kid in the place--no one really notices Adults
who act like a Kids when at WDW--it's expected!!!

Err, I thought Disney World was for ALL ages personally! Talk about NOT having the 'disney spirit'. I went to CRT with adults only and we had a great time. We couldn't afford to go to Disney when I was a "lil girl" so why shouldn't I, or the people you're having a go at here, be able to have the opportunity to meet Cinderella when they are older. Plenty of adults do it and I think they have as much right to as anyone. Even Walt said Disneyland was for everyone. And that's MY HO.

it has nothing to do with not having disny spirit. Enjoy yourselves and the resort. Dont take away the memory of a child for your own selfish endulgence.
Disney in my opinion is for the children first, then the adults
there should be an adult only chacter meal, for the people that feel the need to see cinderella. (some girl in a blue dress) Its a sin that someones child cant see their idol, because some over aged 30 year old kid kid wanted to have that seat instead

There is nothing wrong with adults eating at CRT!! I have eaten there 4 times (with my 5th time going to be in July) and I have as much fun as any child. There is no law stating it is just for little kids. In fact, adults pay for the meal, so they deserve to be there just as much.

That is my opinion.
