Which Character Meal?

My best friend will be making her 1st trip to WDW in a 3 weeks, and I have decided to start our trip with a character dinner. Righht now, I have a PS for 6 pm at Chef Mickey's. However, I'm starting to worry that I may have picked a bad restaurant/time.

Please feel free to give advice and opinions!

I think Chef Mickey's is a fun way to start off the trip.

We last ate there in 2000 and didn't think the food was as good as it had been in previous years. It could be better now. But, the atmosphere is so fun!

We had a very good experience at CM our first night, in Dec., '01. Our PS was for 5:45. We did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, but the restaurant was not overly crowded, the service was absolutely fine, we liked the food and the characters were great! I know others have posted some negative opinions, but for us, it was very enjoyable and a great way to start off our trip!

We have eaten breakfast at Chef Mickeys a lot and have always found it to be great ~ characters are great and since it's a buffet you get to chose what you want to eat. I have a friend that always does the dinner there and she loves it...Have Fun!

Chef Mickey's is a good place to start your vacation off with. We have eaten here several times and have always had good luck with the food and characters. I think you made a good choice.
