Do you think is best for a 3 year old? DS will turn 3 during our trip and we are thinking about some kind of character meal, failing that is there any kind of Dolphin themed meal at Sea World or anything as he LOVES dolphins.

Thanks guys

(can you tell I'm in full on planning mode now ;) )

Gem,there is a Dine With Shamu at Seaworld-not quite a dolphin though  .I have just booked for this, here's some info http://www.seaworld.com/sitepage.aspx?PageID=593 and here is a thread i started with posters comments+pics from it http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2083351 .

As for character meals i suppose it all depends what character's your Ds likes.I have booked O'Hana for Dd4,breakfast with Lilo+Stitch as she adores Stitch.Chef Mickeys as we all love Mickey,Minnie,Goofy+Pluto.Dd7 will be having her 8th birthday in Cinderella's Castle for breakfast.
I suppose Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace which is Winnie The Pooh+friends would be the most popular 2 for him.x.

I would say Crystal Palace, it's lovely and not too overwhelming for little one's, Chef Mickey is a little noisy (but that's only my opinion), we ate at both and Ohana's, but our favourite was CP :goodvibes

I was thinking CP to be honest. I think he would like the characters there.

Michelle - Trouble with the Dine with Shamu is that honestly he is not at all interested in the killer whales, he paid no attention at all to the Shamu shows or viewing but when we watched the dolphins it was like a different child was watching them. He was mesmorised and just kept shouting More More! it was enchanting to watch him. I had a fair few tears in my eyes that day. :)

Oh bless him-how sweet :cutie: .
My girls love both, but Dd4 has a fascination with Shamoose :lmao: (as she call's him)at the moment.
Make sure you take him to the Playhouse Disney Live On Stage if he likes Winnie etc..as it's now the new My Friends Tigger+Pooh in there(amongst others) :thumbsup2 .x.

Another vote for CP - the characters are really good with the little ones and the food is good too:thumbsup2

I love CP but our current fav is the Play & Dine Playhouse Disney meal at DHS. Buffet style with visits from Jo Jo & Goliath and Leo and June from the Little Einsteins. There are a couple of hosts to who lead the singing and dancing

That sounds cool! They both loved the Playhouse Disney show at DHS so this could be good. where was the restaurant Jo?

Michelle - Shamoose :rotfl: :rotfl:

lol killer whales recently got reclassified as dolphins, so technically shamu is a dolphin :thumbsup2 if you tell your son that i wonder if he'll be more interested in orcas :confused3

Glad you mentioned this one as we are thinking of this one for DD's 4th birthday this time. :thumbsup2
We enjoyed Chef Mickeys (celebrated DD'S 3rd birthday there) :goodvibes
