Which character meal?

Just booked to go to DLP in May. Never tried a character meal here before and wonder which you consider to be the best and why?

Thinking of one breakfast and one dinner - is this too much in a 4 night stay?

Cafe Mickey looks good for dinner - perhaps a reservation around 6-7pm before the park closes and Plaza Gardens for breakfast, perhaps. But then again like the idea of Inventions at the Disneyland Hotel. Or are there other options I don't know about - choices, choices.

Lots have enjoyed the Inventions restaurant as it offers fine dining options.
I think picking 2 character options is fine and I'd be happy with your choices

This is my first time to disneyland paris and I didn't think about character meals. Do you book these in advance? How do you book them? is there a list somewhere of all of them? What type of food do they serve?

It is probably advisable to book in advance depending on when you are going.
There are character breakfasts at Plaza Gardens in the park and Cafe Mickey in the village.
Character teas are in Plaza gardens in the afternoon.
Character meals are in Lucky Nugget Saloon, Cafe Mickey and Innentions hotel.
I'm sure someone will pop in if I have missed any.

I'd say book them all!!!

The one piece of advice would be to hang around when you are there - don't rush to get out - when we did Cafe Mickey for dinner we ended up getting two sets of five characters cause we took our time! I would also highly recommend Plaza Gardens for breakfast.

Another to think about is the Lucky Nugget.

In terms of booking, as long as you do this more than a day in advance (might be slightly different for Inventions but I doubt it) then you should be fine. Certainly when I was there earlier this month you couldn't book more than a few days in advance for the character meals.

Lots of people leave booking their meals until they get to DLP. You can book them through City Hall, any hotel or the restaurant itself. Unless its a really busy time, I think you can even book on the day itself and can usually get in.

We always book in advance on 00 33 1 60 30 40 50. You can book up to 60 days in advance. Like I said its not necessary to be so organised but I find we tend to book meals and then plan our days around that!

Nick's advice is really good, we usually spend about two hours over our meals and find you will have one set of characters over an hour, then they will change to another set for the next hour! You can get loads of great photos this way!

We've always booked character breakfasts when making our holiday booking with Disney - usually a few months in advance.

Having done all of the character meals now, I can recommend Inventions as my top choice (pricey though) and Lucky Nugget as second choice. Both have a really lovely selection of buffet food and GREAT character interaction, especially inventions.

Great - thanks for all the responses. Is there a list of characters anywhere for each meal? No big deal really but it would be good to meet a rare character.

There is not a list of characters that go to set restaurants. Good thing is then you are not disappointed if they do not show.

It use to be at Walts; which was lovely, and has now moved to Plazza Gardens

From the photos on the official website, Plaza Gardens reminds me so much of Crystal Palace in MK,WDW - for that reason alone, it's a must do for us!
