We did Crystal Palace last year, and the kids LOVED it, but this time I was hoping for character meal that includes Mickey. My kids just adore him, especially my 3yr old son, that would be his dream come true!

You've got to take your kids to Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort! It is a buffet- breakfast and dinner are equally good. The character interaction is wonderful, there are napkin twirling parties every 45 minutes, a make your own sundae bar for the kids...kids LOVE THIS PLACE!

My DS8 and DD4 have been here 3 times and they STILL insisted on it for our first night next trip.

You will also see Minnie, Donald Duck & Goofy at CM. Your family will have the option of purchasing a picture taken before you sit down.

It's now Donald's Breakfast Safari at Tusker House. But Mickey is still there.

Mickey is also at the Garden Grill at Epcot in the Land pavilion. It includes Chip and Dale and Pluto. Good food and alot of fun. The entire restaurant revolves very slowly. Neat affect. That said, I think the smaller kids would enjoy Chef Mickey's the most. Better food variety with it being a buffet, and alot of singing and playing around with the characters.

Chef Mickeys is a definate for food, entertainment etc.. I would not go back to Garden Grill as the food and service has dropped over the years.

Chef Mickey is a lot of fun. Mickey is dressed in Chef attire.

Garden Grill we liked this a lot and you will see lots of different review on this place. we had a great server too I almost cancelled bc of reviews, glad I didnt we enjoyed this place a lot Mickey is dressed as Farmer Mickey.

Is Mickey at Cape May and LTT? Those are possibilities too, I think.

The breakfast at 'Ohana (Stitch and Friends, I believe) has Mickey. DH & I love it. The food is served family style, so no getting up to the buffet and missing out on the characters. The menu has a bit of "poly flair," too. The breakfast bread has pineapple in it. The sausage is a bit sweet. The juice they serve is a mango blend. Just a few little touches that help me feel like I'm not eating a Shoney's breakfast.

We love 'Ohana to start out our MK day.

We've been to CP and the Cindy dinner at Park Fare, and we found them to be rather chaotic. We just don't get that feel with the 'Ohana breakfast. Maybe it's because you don't have to get up all the time to get your food?

Good luck finding something & I hope you have fun whatever you decide!

Chef Mickey's is great fun, we loved it and we have no kids! The kids that were there were having a great time and the characters took the time to come to each table, interact and pose for photos.

:thumbsup2 I agree! We all LOVED the breakfast at 'Ohana. I don't have an ADR for this upcoming trip and I am kicking myself. We are having dinner at 'Ohana & Kona- I thought breakfast also would be Poly overload. The 'Ohana breakfast is sooooo good, though

We always make it a point to go to CM on our first night. That way everyone has gotten a chance to see Mickey and his friends before we even get to a park (we don't go to a park on arrival day).

That being said, I know that Mickey's Backyard Bar B Que, at Fort Wilderness, also has Mickey and friends. I had an ADR there for our last trip but trip was then cancelled. The Bar B Que doesn't run in the colder months, so it would depend on when you were going, also it is only on certain nights. It did sound nice though, well if you have small kids. From what I understand, there are long tables, bar B Que food (chicken, ribs, etc) and Mickey and friends sing songs. It is outside but the area is covered with a roof.

Have a great time :goodvibes

Karen:)
