Askershus in Norway (Epcot) has princesses at all 3 meals. Our favorites are:

-Askershus breakfast
-Tusker House breakfast
-Crystal Palace dinner
-1900 Park Fare breakfast (best character interaction of ALL of them!)

We would never go to WDW without doing Chef Mickeys breakfast. <1 y/o nephew loved it.

I would think Ohana is the most fun for kids but I think yours are a little too young.

Crystal Palace brkfst, Chef Mickey's brkfst & Ohana brkfst are all "must do's" for us.

We love Crystal Palace (all meals, but it is great to do breakfast before the park opens) and Akershus (breakfast).

Since your kids are little, I'd recommend a meal with some of the Fab Five - Tusker House (Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey) Chef Mickey's (Mickey, Chip, Dale, Goofy) or Garden Grill (food is brought to you at Garden Grill - easier with little ones - Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto). Your kids probably know Pooh and friends, so Crystal Palace is a great choice with that age group.

Little Einsteins are at Hollywood and Vine at DHS. It doesn't get great reviews on the DIS, but if your kids are fans of the characters, it might be worth giving it a try.

I went with my daughter who is close to the same age (and with another group who had a 9 month old and 2 year old) to Akershus, Crystal Palace, and Tusker House. All the kids loved these places. If you are limiting character locations I would say Crystal Palace for that age was probably the best. My daughter would probably say Akershus now though as she is really into princesses. :) Have a great time!

no one mentioned Cinderella's Royal table!?!?!?
that is the one in the castle .. right!?!?
is it not worth it (2 TS esp!?!?)

My DD loves princesses are they there?!?!

or is Akershus (Epcot?!?!) a better princess one to do!?

Crystal palace is Pooh and Friends!?!? she loves them too!

I guess I am trying to get a variety!

So far Chef Micky is a Def! (Gotta do the fab 5 i agree:thumbsup2)

Thanks everyone for all your input it has really been helpful!

We took our daughter to celebrate her first birthday last month and the character meals that really stood out for us are..

'Ohana (breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto) - Super fun! The food was seriously some of the best breakfast I have had in years. If you don't already know about the meal, it is served all you care to eat family style. It's so nice not having to wander around a buffet with kid in tow. The character interaction was really good! They have a little parade if you and your family would like to participate, you just go around the room with the characters. This is always on our must-do list.

Garden Grill (dinner with Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale) - The best character interaction of the week! We saw the characters about four times each and they stayed for a while each time. Chip and Dale were really into play with our daughter. She was offering Cheerios which one pretended to eat. Too cute. :goodvibes The food is also offered family style. This is another one we have done before and it just never fails us. The restaurant rotates which is really cool! We had a great meal and a fantastic server. Planning on going back next year.

1900 Park Fare (breakfast with Pooh, Tigger, Alice, Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins) - The buffet was very good, all the food was nice and fresh. Loved that they offer a bagel toppings area. It was also very nice that they offered my favorite strawberry soup for breakfast! :thumbsup2 Pooh and Tigger were wonderful and came around multiple times. As for the other characters we saw them once. The only character the whole trip my 1 year old didn't care for too much was Mad Hatter. She just wasn't sure of him. She didn't cry or anything, she just mostly stared him down. :lmao: But we enjoyed the meal and are thinking about doing it again next year.

We did try Akershus for dinner, but we were not impressed at all. This was our second time trying it for dinner and honestly, we don't think we will be back for dinner for a few years. The characters were really rushed, barely stopping for a photo and a "hello".. The food was..okay. We might try it for breakfast especially if the new baby turns out to be another girl, but again we can wait for that meal.

Generally, we try to book about four to five character meals. We loved them! Next year we will be doing a few more since our daughter did so well. We have gone to Crystal Palace many times and while we like it, this past year we were focusing more on going to see characters our daughter was familiar with. Crystal Palace will be on our to-do list for next year. :) As will Chef Mickey's. Lately Chef Mickey's has been taking a hit with the reviews, but every time we have gone we have left happy. We'll try it next year and hopefully it will be what we remembered.

We also had Tusker House on our list for this year, but we had to cancel it last minute due to our daughter needing to go to urgent care. We'll try it next year as well. :thumbsup2

Whatever you decide on, I'm sure you and your family will have a great time. Good luck to you! :goodvibes

We loved Chef Mickey's, Chrystal Palace and the Little Einsteins....we also did CRT, but your kids are a little young....maybe do Akershus now and save CRT for another trip when they are older since CRT takes two meals?
We love character meals and are doing a bunch of them in May (5/8 meals). My friend thinks I am crazy. But I can always go to a restaraunt without characters, right? :)

We have done CRT, but we prefer Akershus. We've done Akershus for breakfast twice. The food and interaction are better, and it costs much less. If your kids are big Cinderella fans, you may prefer to do CRT since she is always there. We have seen her at Akershus, but we have also not seen her there. You can also find Cinderella in the Toon Town tent every day, and the lines are generally short since everyone is trying to meet the Fairies.

Crystal Palace is a family tradition for us. We added a MK to our Universal trip this summer because Crystal Palace and Splash Mountain were both closed when we went to Disney in January. DD7 LOVES Pooh and friends, and the food and interaction are great. Crystal Palace is the only place to find Piglet - he does not generally do meet and greets, but you can find Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore out and about in the parks.

My DH doesn't like Chef Mickey's because it is very loud and chaotic, but the rest of us have always enjoyed it.

Our first day we always start with Breakfast at Chef Mickeys and then we usually end our stay with lunch at Crystal Palace. WE have had both breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare and enjoyed both although I think the character interaction was better at dinner. Yours are little and the step sisters and Lady Tremaine might not be great choices!

We did Akersus with the princess for breakfast for the 3rd time this past trip and thought the princess were really rushed...Did not spend much time at all with my daughters and the food was ok

Ohana's breakfast was wonderful!!! first time we have done it and we loved it. The food was YUMMY and I liked the open atmosphere...(compared to Akersus which is very cramped) The characters spend a lot of time with us...we will do it again

LOVE CM and CP...good and reliable.

Also loved 1900 for dinner...Cindy and the Prince the the Mother and Stepsisters are GREAT!!! Food is also really good

I have oe Ashershus fore breakfast a few times, it is always good. Our favorites are The crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys! My 9 year old feels thse are a must do!

This year we plan to hit 1900 park fare, we have not done that yet!

sorry for all the questions....here is another:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

How is the Hoop Dee Doo review...worth the 2 TS?????

How is the Hoop Dee Doo review...worth the 2 TS?????

Keep asking - that's why we are here! :goodvibes

Hoop De Doo has its very loyal fans, and others who don't love it. I've been once and thought it was OK (I'm not a big fan of corny humor), but I'm not rushing back to do it again. I'm sure you will get lots of responses.

We rarely do the dining plan, so it's hard for me to say if it is worth two TS credits. I'm not sure any meals at WDW are worth two TS credits for us when I think that I can schedule a whole other character meal with that second credit. Just personal preference, though. If there is a meal you are really excited about, it's probably worth it to do it once! :goodvibes

My DS (7 yrs at the time) LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! The rest of our family enjoyed it, Me.... not so much. The best part for me was watching my son belly laugh (priceless!), and we are going again next year, because he loved it so much. The food was awesome , we all agreed on that. Great fried chicken , ribs, cornbread, salad, strawberry shortcake, mmmmmmm:love:

Having said that I didn't enjoy the show too much, I still felt it was worth the 2 table service credits.

We just left WDW on Saturday. It was my 8-yr-old ds's and 3-yr-old (just turned) dd's first time to WDW.

We did
Crystal Palace breakfast
Cinderella's Royal Table lunch
Donald's Tusker House breakfast
1900 Park Fare breakfast
Hoop Dee Doo Revue

We ate at CP the first morning there, and it was our first character experience. It was nice -- the food was good and the character interactions were fine. We had reservations right after they opened. I would def. do it again.

We had a 2:30 lunch at CRT. The food was really good, and the princesses were nice. The princesses seem to kinda have their spiel ready when they got to each table. This worked for us because none of us are outgoing, and my kids were a little awestruck (esp. my dd). I didn't get the impression that they wouldn't break from the spiel - just that they had it ready for when they needed it. The atmosphere was not as special as I'd hoped. I don't think I'd do it again unless the kids really wanted it.

Donald's Tusker House breakfast was probably the best breakfast food we had. Our reservation was first thing, and we saw all the characters within 30 minutes of being there. I would def. do it again.

I scheduled the 1900 Park Fare breakfast after my dd became obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. This was the most disappointing experience because the food was not as good as the other places, yet it was more expensive. The characters were fine, but they kids hadn't quite warmed up to meeting characters yet (this was our second morning), so it wasn't as great as it could have been. I wouldn't do this again.

I DEFINITELY recommend the Hoop Dee Doo!!! All of us LOVED it. I think my 3-yr-old dd enjoyed it the most. The food was good, and we all really enjoyed the show. I laughed so hard one time that I started crying. We will definitely do it again!!

DS and DD were both 2 years old on our last trip and they LOVED Chef Mickey's. They still talk about it at least weekly and we went 6 months ago.

We also did Crystal Palace for lunch and it was good, but the characters move around the room slowly and we only saw 2 of the 4 Pooh characters.
