Cape May Cafe
Chef Mickeys
1900 Park Fare
Ohana
Hollywood and Vine
Restaurantosaurus

Thanks

21month's is a tough call. Is he familiar with any of the Disney characters? You may find that he is actually scared of them as they are very large.

I would probably suggest going to one of the quieter one's, like 1900 Park Fair, just because it's not so crazy. I think Pooh is often at 1900 PF as well, and I would guess he is probably familiar with Pooh and friends.

Just a tip, initially keep your son with you and slightly away from the characters - just watch them from afar, maybe have him wave at them etc, and see how he goes. My dd was terrified to start with, and would only sit on the far side of the table from the characters, she didn't like to be too close in case they touched her. After a while, she relaxed a lot, and was happy to go stand near the characters with me for a photo, but it took a long time before she would go on her own.

I can recommend Donalds Breakfastsaurus (spell?) as a breakfast , we went last year & all really enjoyed it.

My kids are way older than your little one so can't comment on the suitability.

We had a lateish booking ,10.30 or 11.00 I think. This suited us as we went on the rides first.

It didn't come across as a loud /noisy venue & we weren't rushed at any time. The charecters came around to your table & the servers were great and I'm sure would be very understanding if you found that your DS wasn't very keen on them.

Mickey Mouse was at the breakfst along with Donald, Goofy & 2 or 3 others.

Bev,
Thanks for the reply,he is familiar with Mickey and Minnie and he always points to them when he sees them on TV but as you say, larger than life in the flesh he may and probably will be a little wary so will take your advice and keep him at a distance for a while and let him get used to them in his own time.

Sue,
Where does this breakfast take place, although it is not on our list it may be worth trying if we do more than one.

Thanks

Sean :)

I agree with Sue here - Donalds brekfastsaurus seemed a lot quieter to us when we went 2 weeks ago. We went to Hollywood and Vine as well and this was much noisier and busier all round. I think younger chilren may enjoy Donalds more if they are at all wary of the characters. Donalds brekfastsaurus is at animal kingdom.

Sean

You will be pleased to know that the breakfastasauraus is on your list, as it is held at the Restaurantasaurus in Animal Kingdom :D

Many thanks Angie and Mazzy I think we will give this one a go and if he copes ok maybe try one of the others later in the hols.

Regards
