I'm trying to decide which of these character breakfasts to choose from: The Cape May Cafe at Beach Club or Chef Mickey's at Contemporary. We are staying at Beach Club for a portion of our trip, so it might be more convenient. We are only choosing one and I need to make a decision soon so I can make reservations. :confused3  :surfweb:

I'd do Cape May so its easier. If you did that you could have an earlier adr and still make it to rope drops.

We did Chef Mickey's for Breakfast last fall with a 3.5 year old DS. We really thought it was overrated. Everyone seemed to rant and rave about Chef Mickey's, and being that we had never been there, we thought we should atleast give it a try. IMO, there was nothing spectacular about it. The characters seemed rushed, the food was so so, and it took forever to get seated. We are staying at the BCV this fall, and are very excited to try Cape May Cafe for breakfast. We've never done it before because getting to and from if you aren't staying there just didn't seem convienant. We are get up and get going at the crack of dawn people. I hope this helps. :rolleyes1

Have never done the Cape May breakfast (we love the clambake dinner, tho), but I'll agree with Starkiss - we are not big fans of Chef Mickey's. You really have to be "up" for it, since it's loud (fun for most here on the Dis, but not for us). And the food's just okay.

It also makes sense to have one day when you aren't rushing off to the bus stop. Sleep in a bit, then go to your breakfast right at the BC.

No help here, we like them both! I would say since you are staying @ BC go to Cape May. It would def. be more relaxing to get there!!:)

Since you're staying at the BC, why not do both?

If I were only doing one and I was driving, I'd do Chef Mickey's as a brunch after a morning in the MK. If I were taking the bus, I'd just eat at the BC.

Thaks everyone! I guess it makes sense to do the breakfast at Cape May while we are there. Plus, sounds like it is smaller, quieter, etc.

You should try Cape May for breakfast, it's great.

I had breakfast scheduled there but ended up cancelling it because we had already met the characters who were going to be there. Plus we were paying for this OOP and I just couldn't see spending that kind of money on breakfast.

Boy am I am glad we made Cape May Cafe Breakfast ressie's for our fall trip today!!!!!!!!
