Of course androids outsold iPhones. There is only one manufacturer of iPhones and loads of android manufacturers. There is also a pretty substantial price difference. You can buy some androids for almost nothing where iPhones are hundreds of dollars.
Actually, according to recent statistics Apple and Samsung are almost equal in marker share, with Samsung being a few percentage points behind. I suspect this will reverse later this year with the release of the Galaxy S4. It is estimated that initial sales of this model will be at least 10 million a month worldwide. I know that I am personally looking forward to it.
