I'm thinking about Jan 2004. We are a faimly of just 3 so we have more options. Is a cat. 4 worth $400.00 than cat. 5? I have never criused with Disney but DD really wants to. Thanks for any help you can give me.

We are also a family of 3 and had plenty of room in a Cat 6. The couch folded out for DD8's bed everynight.

We have cruised twice before on Disney once in a cat. 6 and once in a cat. 5. Three weeks from Saturday we are going again in a Cat 6. There is no difference between a five and six except for deck number. Personally I did not notice ANY difference between decks six and seven. A Cat. 4 is basically the same except for a few extra feet at the end of the cabin to make room for a murphy bed. (which you would not need as there are only three of you)
Personally I would not spend the extra for a few feet, I wouldn't turn down an upgrade but I would not spend 400.00 for it- heck that almost covers our bar bill!

As the others have said, a Cat. 6 is PERFECT for a family of three and there is no reason to spend extra for a Cat. 4. :)

IN the past, we have opted for the cheaper category and then upgraded at check-in for a little amount. Ex. family of 4 with a deluxe outside(on a lower deck) upgraded to verandah stateroom on a high deck was $200 for the entire family. Well Worth It! I forgot to mention that this was a 4 day cruise.

I appreicate the feed back, I have done some reasearch but hearing from past cruisers is always the best advice. :teeth:
