Trying to decide which car service to choose.
Going from the Orlando airport to the All Sports in April.
Need a town car of some sort for a family of four.
Definitely need a quick stop for groceries.

People seem to discuss HappyLimo, FL Tours, and Tiffany's.

I would like to see which serivce is most recommended.
Based on cost, service, dependability etc.
You are the experts...

We have always preferred to use FL Tours for our transportation. Andy is a wonderful guy who will see to it you are taken care of.

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.

Go to www.fltours.com/reservations.htm and fill out a request, you will see pricing before you ever have to submit the request for a reservation

My suggestion is to go to the various websites for these companies and find our how much they charge, do they have a grocery stop, read the f.a.q.'s, then make your decision based on whichever criteria is most important to you. I have only experienced Tiffany Town Car. One time. Just last month. Wonderful experience. But just like any service based business you will run into both positive and negative comments about each one. I saw both the good and bad posts on Tiffany before I booked with them. I chose them to save money. They were only $75 roundtrip MCO-Pop Century with the coupon printed from their website. Best of luck with your decision. I know it is pretty important because it is early on in your vacation and you want things to go smoothly.

Thank you so much for your help.

I have visited and spent tons of time of all 3 car service
websites...Happy, FL, and Tiffany.

They all sound good and seem comparable in price.

I prefer real world experience like you people offer, as price is not as important as service.

And if more people recommend a particular company, thats good enough for me.

I will book based on these recommendations.

Have used this company on each trip, we were upgraded to a strech limo (no charge - we usually get a Towncar) on our return trip this October, it was quite a nice surprise. They have all ways been prompt and courtious to us. Hope that this helps. Just confirmed my pick up tomorrow night with them!!!

Try Prestige Town Car - on time, very curteous, allows grocery stop etc for $80 RT including MK hotels! We used them in September and they were GREAT!

We just returned. There were a total of ten of us arriving at different times. We made reservations over the internet with Payless Transportation or Orlando.

We had one towncar roundtrip for $75 for four of us Port Orleans. The car was at the airport on arrival and was 15 minutes early for the return. Very nice driver both ways. This trip was paid for in advance with a credit card, but the tip was in cash.

We had one limo for $90 to pick up six of us arriving on two different airlines for Port Orleans. One of the flights was 30 minutes late and the driver waited with the first arriving group for no extra charge. We returned separately on different days in towncars at $40 each. The first towncar arrived 15 minutes early at the Port Orleans and the second right on time at the Dolphin (two of us switched resorts for an extra two day stay). All nice drivers. We even changed one of the schedulet pickup times by calling 18 hours in advance; no problem.

I think this is a smaller company. We did pay cash for the limo and two of the towncars and did not need to pay for the return trip in advance.

The vehicles were all first class and the grandchildren got a big charge out of the limo ride.

We used Happy Limo on our 1/10-1/17 Eastern and had the Hummerzine. All was fine on the outgoing but the return home was not. The Hummerzine showed up filthy dirty and smelled like an all night binge!

I learned some things from them...

They don't follow the "customer is always right" policy.

They don't promptly reply when there is a problem.

You must take PICTURES to prove anything negative to them. Also, complain to them immediately! Doing so upon immediate return to your home is not soon enough!

Read ALL fine print of your contract carefully so you will not be surprised/disappointed.

HTH someone!

We use Happy Limo quite a bit, as we do a lot of Disney cruises, and we've always gotten good service. There were even there waiting for us when our plane was delayed a couple of trips ago and ended up getting to MCO around 2 a.m. Last trip was last weekend, and they were even a little early...we ended up getting off the ship earlier than we had planned, and the driver was there waiting for us.

I'm new to all - we typically drive, but I got a good deal on airfare - so now I gotta figure transport issues to/from WDW. Please tell me which company allows a grocery stop and for how long.

Also - suggestions on best deal for 2 adults and 1 child. WDW suggested MEARS - but I haven't seen them discussed in this thread. Are they horrible? Their price seems a few dollars cheaper - but $$ isn't everything.

Thanks for the help.

Mears is often referred to as a cattle car service. With three people you break even using a car service, and get a grocery stop as well.

I wouldn't consider using Mears even if it meant paying for a car service for just me.

My opinion.

I agree with Anne...moo, moo, moo for Mears!
We used to use them because of the Disney coupons, but we were really happy when we learned about towncars. You wouldn't believe the number of resorts you can get stuck going to before you finally get to ours. It's some kind of universal law that I always was staying at the hotel that was the very last stop, sort of like always getting in the line that moves the slowest.

Is taking cab an option from MCO to WDW? Any idea what's the estimate cost ?

$50 each way, plus tip, if not more.

Car service is the best option.

I've used Tiffany more than a few times, and have never had a bad experience with the drivers. Some are friendlier than others. The office staff on the other hand can be a bit surly.

My favorite option is Golden Limousine, Jimmy has quite a few fans around these parts, and his prices are more competitive than most others. Because you deal directly with the owner of the car, it takes out the middleman. You can call him to book at 407-869-9007.

I agree with others that price really does not matter, all the prices are the same if you look at the entire picture. If you are dropping multiple thousands of dollars for a trip what is the difference if one service charges $80 vs one charging $100.

We have been looking into a car service for April and have been concidering or have it narrowed to Cartier or FL tours I think. It was going to be Cartier all the way until last week when I heard the first negative comments about them. We looked into Happy but I read that they have more older cars than the other companies, not sure if this is true. Tiffany,? I could be wrong but back in '98/99 I think Tiffany was involved in these boards somehow and the relationship ended over some complaints or something, then again I could be dreaming. As for FL Tours, most comment shave been positive, and not to be negative, but if UI use them and have a back trip, I can complain about them until the Mears(I mean cows) come home.

So for us it if Cartier or FL Tours and the decision will be made soon as we are approaching our 60 day countdown.
