which car rental comp is in disney?

which car rental companys can u get right in disney? Is alamo the only one cause there rates are kinda high at 40.00 a day for a compact. i only need the car for 1 day. i will not be able to get a car off proporty because i'm takin magical express.

Are you sure this info is up-to-date? A friend of mine was staying at Coronado Springs last February, and the concierge told her the car rental locations on WDW property were all shut down. She had to go to the airport to rent a car.

The concierge was mistaken. Many many people here on the DIS have rented cars from National/Alamo onsite. They have a shuttle that will take you to the Car Care Center by MK to pick up or drop off the car.

I drive by there quite often and the office is still there.

Not sure who your friend talked with. I didn't think CSR had a conceirge. It may have just been they were all out of cars. I have heard of that happening at busy times.

However, one day rentals are generally more expensive then weekly rentals etc. on a per day basis. Usually most of the deals don't work for them.

Wow...you got quoted a really high rate. We use alamo and find great rates... Check out their site under hot deals, or look at a few other discount codes offered through Walmarts website. Bjs, costco, AAA, or airline websites for discount codes. We are going to Disney and reserved a midsize for 7 days for $129. When I book a 24hr rental period and pickup/drop off using Alamo's sites on Disney property I've still gotten a midsize for about $27. including taxes and fees.

Actually, Avis is also "on property". They are located at the Hilton in Hotel Plaza. They have a courtesy shuttle and will pick you up at your hotel.

We have a mini-van rented for 5 days, end of Oct....to be picked up at the S&D car rental thur Alamo for $214.00(tax incl)..Got a code thur Alamo e= mail...we are staying at BWV's.....
