We are traveling as a party of 5; 2 adults and 3 teenage boys. We will be staying at YC.

I am trying to decide between these two options for a candlelight processional package:
8 am breakfast at Ale and Compass with a 6:45 showtime
-least expensive package option
-extremely convenient since it's in our hotel, and before the park opens
-gives us more "Epcot time" after the show, also Dh and I plan to go to Jellyrolls that evening, so this could allow us to get an earlier start
-this will give us the afternoon and evening to snack at those food booths around world showcase

Noon lunch at Biergarten with an 8:15 showtime
-Biergarten is one of our "family favorites" and we are only doing one day in Epcot this trip
-Buffet mid day means it will probably be a better value even if it costs a bit more, especially with 3 teen boys!
-Gives us a solid meal mid day, instead of just "snacking" around the food booths, which can get VERY expensive with 5 of us...
-I get the impression that 8:15 is a better time for Candlelight Processional than 6:45? Though I've never seen it so I don't know.

I voted Biergarten. Gives you a midday break without having to go back to the resort. It's one of your favorites, so those teen sons may miss it if you don't. Gives you more touring time before you have to get to CP and Illuminations is directly after.

DH and I are doing Biergarten lunch, so that's how I voted! We chose that since it's our first time visiting WDW during the holiday season and I've read that Biergarten is decorated for Christmas, plus the band plays Christmas music. We are so excited to see CP for the first time.

You can keep refreshing the dining package and the show time will change if there's availability.

Whichever one you choose, have a magical time!

I voted Ale & Compass. We stayed at YC in March and had breakfast there and it was fantastic. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either. I would pick the one that best suits your schedule!
