Which camera does anyone suggest? I will have my iPhone for use too but I would love a point and shoot that i can also use. i don't want a super fancy one but I am willing to pay a few hundred for something that will take pics of our once in a lifetime trip. we are not going till christmas so I know there will be new ones that come out before then but id like to get a jump start on research of which brands are better. I hope to know what I want by black friday and buy then
thank you!
Also agree, after about 8 years, the Panasonic Lumix. I currently have a 16 MP with about a 20X zoom. It is much better to have your photos on a camera instead of your phone....
The ability to zoom
The ability to record without eating up a ton of space.
The photo quality is good on iPhone, but better on the Lumix
The space! You can't believe how fast you can hit max on your phone. With a camera 32G or higher you get a lot more photos and videos. If max hit switch for a new one. The phone you are stuck at the park and no place to send to cloud and delete for more room,
The ability to protect the SD card from overwriting, keep the camera safe keeps the photos safe, drop the phone and not have it up dated may lose the photos and retrieving anything.
The ability to swap family photos with another and they can handle your camera not your phone
The ability to use settings on the camera- Night[ will turn off the flash for indoor attractions, fireworks, Animals, Sports, etc.
Use the iPhone for impromptu pictures you want to upload at that time. Turn your phone counter clockwise landscape to fill the screen.
Back your phone up at night to the cloud
Carry a power bank-Recording will drain your phone along with all the AP's you have open.
If you have a computer, transfer the videos off your phone at night to the computer too. Make new space.
Put the find my phone AP on your phone
Have a good Otter Box and glass screen cover for drops and bangs
Protect it, guard it, which is easier to replace if dropped and broken, the phone or camera. At least you can pull and SD card from the camera.
