Which bus at resort?

Does Disney "assign" a certain ME bus to you on departure? Or do you just make sure you are there 3 hours before hand and take the one that is there? Do they check your id or anything before letting you on?

On the way back to the airport, YES, you are assigned a specific bus. You will need your bus voucher.

There are several reasons why you can't just catch any ol' DME bus back to the airport:

• the driver is under no obligation to let you on a bus that isn't your assigned bus

• there will not necessarily be a bus when you want one. For pick-ups, DME buses don't run on a regular basis ... they show up for pick-ups ONLY if there are reservations for a bus at that time. In other words, it could possibly be a few hours until the next bus shows up.

• if you somehow do manage to get yourself on a later bus, you could potentially be taking up the seats of people who have a legitimate reservation for that bus, which would make them late for their flight or make them spend money on a taxi. Of course, this would only happen in A) the bus was slated to be full, and B) the driver was complicit in letting you on a bus he/she knew would be full.

Thanks! I was just wondering how they knew I guess was my question. We have to be on ME by 5 that morning since we have an 8 a.m. flight. So I am just trying to make sure we have a spot on a bus! Thanks for your help!

Also realize that if you were planning on using the RAC, they don't open until 6:00 am. So if you are on the 5:00 am ME bus, you will need to take your luggage on the bus with you. The driver will stow it in the compartment underneath.

Thanks! I kind of thought we may have to do that. So we will just take our bags to the airport and check them there? And if our flight is at 8 a.m. we will be on a ME bus around 5 a.m.?

Keep in mind too that you need to be at the ME bus stop, ready to go, 15 minutes before you scheduled pick up time. Your ME info will tell you that, and they mean it! My dad almost missed an early morning bus back to the airport because I forgot to tell him that little info.
